Here's a trick you can try to regain stamina while still moving. I use this in plus, but I think it will work for classic as well. Continuously spam your Esky in a very Speedy motion. That way, the game thinks you have stopped, so you can gain stamina, but you're still kind of moving, so you can gain at least a little bit of distance from baldy, or whoever is playing Baldi at the moment.
