Gregory packs are reachable for blue collars. It's functional & durable for outback, school & rock climbing. Great run & still rocking. Good to see the GT family having quality time enjoying mother nature. Cheers cobber from Australia.

For hiking looks fine, but i prefer more ''tactical'' back packs . with more lashing points for gear, and molle system. Also always i cary a secondary side bag , as a ''go home pack'',with all the first aid, water filter, fire kit , and essentially need gear to access in one move, separate the weight , having more balanced movement. Also having this ready , i just grab n go for every task in sort distance from the camp . But for a walk in the woods , for a few hours it's just fine , in a good price. Good review!

That's a great review. It seems like that gets very close to what I'm looking for. I would use like to know if it's possible to attach ac camera clip to it's shoulder strap. Or either, how wide are the shoulder straps? Also how do you carry a tripod with this bag? And is it possible to adapt some kind of trekking pole loops to it?
@bigzach322 Жыл бұрын
When you said you weren't aware of packs with this capability in this price range, I immediately thought of the Mountainsmith Clear Creek lineup. Surprised you don't think it is in this class given your praise in the past. Easily my favorite sub-$100 daypack, and at this point I avoid buying any packs without webbing on the shoulder straps.
@gideonstactical Жыл бұрын
Yep, past is the key phrase. my understanding is they are being phased out. They are on sale everywhere and a few places say discontinued. Every good packs but these Gregory packs are still in production and cheaper than what MS is selling now. 👍
@bigzach322 Жыл бұрын
@@gideonstactical Wow really? That's surprising. I thought it was the best product line from Mountainsmith. Might have to pick up that Clear Creek 20 on sale to replace my older model.

Hydration bladders have a tendency to leak after a period of time and the maintenance is another thing not worth them. I agree with you on the bottles much simpler.
@campingalan4 ай бұрын
Hello from Ouray, Colorado! I came here for your pack review….and bam…I got the bonus of the hydration system you were highlighting too! I can stand bladders! What a find! I don’t think I have ever got every drop out of my bladder; so, I am sure there has been a fuzzy factor at some point. Plus…those bladders seem to permiate the taste into the water.

Gregory is a belgium producer as far as I'm aware and they make really awesome backpacks indeed... I have had Gregory Border 25L as my primary laptop backpack for business trips and for it's price and functionality = overall value, it's unbeatable as well! Alas, my wife took it from me, cause she likes it for the very same reason and due to her position she has more trips than me, so I've bought The North Face Kaban 2.0 27L instead and it's great... But You know, I still miss my Gregory Border 25L! This is why when I searched for EDC non-laptop backpack, I checked Gregory offerings first of all and stumbled on this Gregory Nano 20L! What can I say - since then, it's my favorite EDC for city use when I don't need to carry my laptop with me! Lightweight, ergonomically wise, a lot of organization what lightweight backpacks usually lacking = just compare to Deuter Speedlite 21L for instance - in terms of pockets, compartments and usability it is beaten by Gregory Nano in all possible ways! So I use this Gregory Nano with great of joy as my primary gym backpack and backpack for the pool and/or beach as well as short outdoor activities, however only short and easy ones! Because it has quite soft shoulder straps which is not good for heavy loads more than 4kg of weight I'd say Therefore, when I do serious outdoor activities like visiting Transfagarasan in Romania for example, I prefer my Osprey Archeon 24L as primary backpack for hiking

G'day Aaron, I reckon its fair to say there's an array of different "day walk" and bike scenarios. i.e. how many hours, how far, how rugged, how isolated etc. It's also fair to say there's a shipload of less expensive packs out there; it's "simply", ...... lol, a matter of separating the wheat from the chaff ....... hats off to you for even attempting it. This one looks decent enough, for a few hours on a well trodden trail, or particularly for a bike ride IMO. I'm with ya, many, many, packs don't offer a simple and effective external solution for a rain jacket, (or a warm layer), which may well be a frequent on/off activity ......... love that this one does. Btw; do you have "Black Wolf" products over there ? I have a couple of their day packs which appear to be similarly spec-ed and priced ..... and my go to for non-rambo like missions ; ) + they're so common here, .... they're also very good for an urban "greyman" approach, ... regardless of the material color. Cheers Duke.

Hey, I am dad of twins and I am looking for multi purpose backpack. For grocery shopping, as daily bp for my job, for some trips with my kids and sometimes for 2-3 day trip to hotel or one night in the forest. So two last backpacks in my list are Gregory Nano 30 and 24. Sadly I didn't find any such good review of Nano 30. Do you think 24 will be enough big or I should spend some more bucks for that extra 6l of capacity? Thanks in advance. :D
