Okay so for anyone reading this just now, this is NOT the 2 minutes version, there is a much easier way: get Magelight spell (when you first enter College of Winterhold the lady might sell it to you, or you can try court mages), go to Solitude main entrance gate, look at the mountaintop on to your left, and just spamcast Magelight at it. This one will actually take you 2 minutes to lvl up Alteration to 100. Even faster if you have Mage Stone + Lover Stone if you have the Aetherial Crown. Checked it, it works just fine in September 2024. You dont need to enchant any item, or bother with the Telekinesis thing

If you have enchantment at lvl 100, make a circlet or helmet with alteration spell cost 25% less, do the same with a ring, a necklace and an armor/robe. That makes a 100% costless spell. Works the same way without doing all that fancy quests and wait for the spell of free Magicka from Dragonborn DLC.

So I just found the glitch similar to unbounded storms. All you need is telekinesis and basically you have to grab an item go into your map and fast travel somewhere while holding down the button that's grabbing whatever it is your picking up just know you will lose that item though.

To those wondering about ehcnated items reducing the cost of spells to 0 working in place of the black book, it does work. For each school of magic, here's what I cast/did for level 100. Alteration - telekinesis Restoration - looking into this one as I haven't found a fast way yet. Destruction - unbounded storms (careful of aoe damage) Conjuration - I conjured animals/weapons repeatedly with two giants. Took bout 10 minutes. Illusion - clairvoyance will work, but invisibility spells later on work so much better.

Conjuration - if you find Anise's Cabin, you can kill her, drag her by her bed, and cast soul trap repeatedly on her. Sleeping for an hour in her bed will recharge magicka and give a 10% boost in skills each time. Illusion - spamming muffle will work, too. Detect life in the Blue Palace will help once you are higher level, too.

For restoration you can buy Turn Lesser Undead from the antisocial girl at the college of Winterhold, then head underneath the college to The Midden and there should be a lone Draugr down there and just repeatedly cast lesser undead on him, took me about 15-20 minutes

Restoration: Turn Undead spells over and over on the draugr in the Winterhold Midden and Midden Dark. Be careful not to kill them because they do not respawn. You can get Restoration to 100 in about a half hour or so. My game has a tendency to crash when doing this for more than 5-10 minutes for some reason, so quicksave regularly. Illusion: Clairvoyance > Muffle > Invisibility. Always keep casting something and Illusion will shoot up to 100 so fast you'll shit directly through your pants.

The 3rd gate in the Kolbjorn Barrow, if you are a mage that has used the Unbounded Storms spell, you may see that there is an invisible wall blocking you from progressing. All you have to do is jump onto where the boots are and walk through the opened gate. This should fix it 🤷‍♂️

Use enchanting to lower alteration cost by 25% on 4 different things and wear them at the same time. You don't have to have the black book effect as long as you can get the cost of the spell to 0.

you don't have to drink the Redwater skooma just pick the lock on the back gate and sneak in you may or may not agro the dealer and steward you will more than likely agro the doorman the 2 on top agro on you once you leave regardless any method to fully reduce the cost of alteration spells will work I just prefer using equipment for power leveling (you just need to reset the skill and make the return trip doing the same thing) and you do not have to fast travel that far going from Whiterun to either Riften or Dawnstar will work just fine and all 3 places have some random items on the ground that you can use also you only need to use telekinesis in one hand also I've never had those glitches in there but I also always get the gear and I play the legendary edition on the ps3 (no mods to fuck things up lol)

To verify you do need the black book perk. I checked and telekinesis is normally 170 per second. A way around that may be a high elf that starts with 150. So couple of early level ups will give the 170. So would that work?

I managed to do it without this power setting magicka to 100.000 (with console ofcoz) so unless you have a gear reducing alteration cost to zero you will need this power.

I think faster method would be - 1. level up your enchanting to 100. 2. then find a gear with fortify alteration from dawnstar hidden chest near mine. if fortify alteration gear wasn't there just hit and reset khajit merchant until a gear with fortify alteration appear. 3. dischant that item and use fortify alteration on your 4 set of gear. 25%*4 = 100% mana cost in alteration spell. 4. Now get the telekenesis and do the same trick shown in this video.

The point of this is to do legendary rest and keep fast traveling back and forth. It's unlimited perk points and level up attributes, not just a fairly quick way to level up alteration. With that in mind, I think this method still has a strong merit if we're talking about getting lvl 100 like 30 or 40 times in a row real quick. But yes, the magelight method is nice if you just wanna get alteration up easily and be done

Yeah I take Skyrim too seriously I always try to be the good person in the game and never attack anybody unless they attack me I'm always trying to do good in the game I even hate to kill a animal but if it attacks me I don't have much of a choice I go out of my way if I see a chicken and a dragon attacks I run far away to stop dragon from attacking the people and the chicken but sometimes the non-playing characters get in your way so I go outside the city if I think a dragon is going to attack me I must be a milk drinker because I try to stay away from people to stop them from getting harmed in the game

All you really need is the Telekenisis spell, and an item sufficiently enchanted to make Alteration spells cost nothing through the Fortify Alteration Enchanment. Made a ring that makes Alteration spells cost Zero at all levels and cast telekenisis on items like in the video, and achieved the same results, going all the way to Solsteim and needing 11K in septims is unnessessary.
