@@trazzlotinkerboltz5684well that makes sense then. I think what this movie lacked was the build up to each character and why we should care of their fates. Personally my all time favourite movie and one of the most influential movies ever made. By all means don't change your honest opinions in these reactions going forward. You can't fake liking something just to please others but I think the main and fair issue people have is the constant nitpicking of pretty much every single scene in the movie just because it's old. It makes your reaction tough to watch when it's close to an hour of hate-watching. Yes it's dated (filmed in 1983) but outside of the animatronic head it holds up visually today better than a lot of modern movies that use CGI. If Terminator 1 isn't your thing then at least give Terminator 2 a watch with a bit more of an open mind. It might surprise you.

I came here from the _Predator_ reaction and I have to agree with some commentors that the younger woman on our left, with the glasses, seems positively bored, even disdainful, in this reaction. In the _Predator_ reaction she seemed more--I don't know--attentive, perhaps. More invested. I'd honestly suggest to try watching it again, though I don't expect the opinion to necessarily change, nor do I really think it should. I do, however, think coming in with more investment would at least make it more enjoyable. I didn't really get a sense of any misandry, regardless of other comments about it. I didn't get any real sense of nitpicking, either. I think these complaints are largely a knee-jerk rection of people who think their taste in movies is their identity, so disliking a movie they like is the same as disliking them, personally. I think the best comment was, "This movie isn't entertaining me". That's completely fair, and it's a comment about a personal, subjective reaction, not some attempt at objective value judgement. As for the movie itself, I think the movie is more amazing when you realize that this movie had basically _no_ budget. That's why the look of the Arnold-head puppet is dodgy. It's also important to note that time was a problem, particularly with the stop-motion segments. The Terminator skeleton puppet wasn't given to the stop-motion team until almost the very last minute, so they had less than a _quarter_ of the time to take their measurements, make a model, and film it than they should have had. As such, the stop-motion scenes aren't as great as they could have been. It's quite similar for the explosives that Reese throws; "It's just smoke; it doesn't do anything" is a fair assessment, but that goes back to the very limited budget. When your budget is five dollars and a pizza for the crew, you aren't going to get spectacular pyrotechnics. 🙂 The visual effects weren't particularly great, it's true, but it's not from the movie being "bad" or a "product of its time"; it's too little money and too little time. Having said all that, if you don't like the movie, you don't like it. I like it, and others do, as well, but that shouldn't mean you "have" to like it. Personally I avidly dislike plenty of other films dubbed "classics", so it's no skin off my nose that you dislike this one. Hell, I really enjoy _Terminator: Dark Fate,_ with the rest of the fandom seems to hate, at least for the moment. Give it a few years, and it'll be everyone's favorite. I think a lot of viewers' reaction to this video is feeling like "their" movie is being disparaged, and that reflects on them. Personally, I don't really care. You can hate the movie for all it matters to me; it doesn't affect my own enjoyment of it, nor should my enjoyment affect your dislike. All of that said, I do suggest giving the sequel a shot. It was made with a higher budget and a lot more time. It also shows a lot of good narrative progression for Sarah. There's a caveat, though--that movie is about as well-beloved as this one, so uness you fall absolutely in love with it, expect to get more trolls in the comments. Speaking of trolls--they really don't pay attention. They see two women and automatically assume "lesbians", when the actual freaking description says they're mother and daughter. They're just finding reasons to disparage people who disagree with them, which really says more about them than anything or anyone else. 🏳🌈🖖

The problem is that must see first Terminator 1 which can be a little boring movie but the story is strongly related with second part and thats why must see T1 to could understand and enjoy T2. Then story ends on T2 and any other seqeuls were made just for money, with stupid story and mostly for kids.

This movie is a classic and has a huge fan base. However, we felt that movie has lacked character growth and why we should care about any of their fates. The dialogue was boring mostly and love story was a bit too far fetched . I liked the movie for its nostalgic vibes, and Amaya disliked for the lack of depth. Mixed feelings here but we have just watched T2 and oh boy! Its gooood 🫶🏻♥️🤩

Thanks for expressing your opinion, we did as well in this reaction. I am an 80s baby and I loved the movie, my 17 year old daughter didn’t. And thats ok. Clearly people have to agree on everything these days otherwise you will be branded as “r@tard” have a great day sir! Smile and take it easy. Life is too short to be angry. 🫶🏻

@@ScreenJammYou have no idea what you're doing. If you want to do movie reviews, do that. People watch react videos to see others enjoy what they enjoyed. React videos have to be genuinely positive or your channel will die. Don't quit your dayjob.

I liked how you were honest about your opinion instead of just pretending to like it, but i must say i found the fake American accent she kept doing cringey and annoying lol. You have an interesting combination of accents btw, what are they? sounds like Lincolnshire and Romania or something??

This pair of lesbians should watch Brokeback Mountain if they like it. It's a gay movie. They're not ready to watch the Terminator saga.🤗😬🌟👎👎👎👎👎👎

Don't mind the negative comments too much. You guys are amazing reactors and seem to be very lovely young women. Only things I'd suggest : 1. not being too critical of technical aspects and practical effects in older movies, because with time, you'll get used to them and even come to appreciate it; 2. Also, if a movie is not that engaging, like this one, in my opinion, even though it is a classic, the sequel is a much better movie, it'd be cool not to let it become too apparent; 3. One of the girls is super excited and light-hearted, and her friend doesn't always seem to be appreciative enough of that, she even has to tone down her positivity to accomodate her friend, and that does not make for great entertainment.

@@RandyWhite-e6t I enjoy it more as a top tier B movie, and I love great B movies. The sequel is a cinematic masterpiece. Amaya is just really not experienced enough to understand how little she knows about movies. The movie is a perfect low budget movie. She really seems to think it is an original take spotting what she spotted during her first watch.

Hi girls, I like your reaction, I didn't see any disdain for men, why? do you like muscular men? it's OK, maybe he has some complexes that girls don't like him? and the lack of respect for classics, you react well, you have great reactions, I like it, on KZbin there will always be someone who is not satisfied, I have a channel with 3500 subscribers, and in general ten times, someone wished me to die, so do not pay attention ,you are awesome keep doing the reactions !!!
