Im 54 & known for my leggings. I work in a Drs office. People feel like crap when they cone in most times. They smile when they see my leggings! I get good comments all the time. I do wear a smock or longer sweaters. I totally avoid light colors for sure!

I think it depends on where you live, I live in a small resort area and it’s very casual here. I’m retired, moved from the city and always had 3 wardrobes, my church clothes, dress clothes and nurses uniforms. My clothes are now simple and comfortable, early 70’s and yes I wear leggings, to the dentist, doctors and chiropractors. I want to be comfortable.

At 69 having lost 65 pounds I have become team legging! I also agree that the length of the shirt must cover the "goods", no one wants to see that! I almost bought a pair of faux leather leggings from Costco at Christmas, and now I am going to try the ones you suggested. I have enjoyed buying all new clothes in small and medium sizes because there are some really cute classic looks out now. As a teen in the 70s I enjoyed the crazy clothes but now I just want style.

These are the best ways to wear leggings. As for me leggings are only worn under a skirt on cold days. In black. They are better than tight stockings, and can be worn with thick socks. For most people leggings reveal too much information.

I love most of your choices. However, as I battle weight issues (as many women do at our age) I can't wear horizontal stripes. They make me look wider. It would be great if you found some shirts and sweaters with vertical lines. Keep doing great work!

I'm team leggings! I think they look great. I agree with what you are saying about not wearing cream, flesh, or beige colored leggings. You need to try them on before buying to make sure they fit correctly in the front area. Great outfits!

Thanks so much for this video. I used to live in Florida and I'll probably return there from Texas. PEOPLE wear a lot of leggings there,with sort of tunic type tops and I think it looks super 😊 I am so glad to find your video because everyone's always dissing leggings which I think is strange because --sure if you have a terrible body shape, maybe you don't want to wear leggings,but if your body shape is similar to yours or mine 😉it looks great! WHY not? I always wear tunics so I cover my hips; I cover my tummy; and I cover most of my derriere which is actually the smallest part of me now😊. I buy them because of the colors. I'm influenced by Florida where people wear colors and so I have a lot of impressionistic tunic/ t-shirts that cover everything and then I mix and match them with different colored leggings and some of them are prints, but they go together super and for me it's just so much fun. I don't know if other people find it's fun to look at me? No one's ever said much but I know for me it's fun to put together my outfit and that's at least 50% if not 70% of dressing. You dress for yourself; wear what makes you happy. I think withb all the outfits you put together, you look super classy and it suits you. So I would ignore most of these people who made disparaging comments because they obviously don't have a very good body type or they don't know how to mix and match things in discreet and graceful ways and that's their problem, not ours😊

I'm 53 I've been wearing leggings since I was 15. When I was 15 the ideal body was slim hip and no ass. Even at 100lbs I had hips and a butt (I'm only 5ft). I've never worn leggings w a short top. I used to wear them under short skirts. Now I wear them under tops that cover my butt and "the goods". I've never worn skin tones and I've never been a fan of loud designs. I'm not sure when leggings became so thin but they used to be completely opaque. Yeah the see through ones as pants is beyond tacky.

I wear black leggings under various length dresses every day as i find it hard to wear trousers or jeans as i have a stoma bag. I also wear leggings as pyjamas in bed at night.
