I recently sung this at karaoke. Some kid told me I was good. Always choose songs that you feel mean something to you, as well as being comfortable with the lyrics. "Don't you - forget about me!" 🎶

The great Thing about Karaoke is that you realize even more that Classics Like this are absolute masterpieces. Hearing the musical composition without the prominent singing and singing by yourself enhances the musical experience by far. Well not to mention this belongs to one of the greatest 80s hits for sure.

Groton Sub Base, CT when i heard this song full-blasted from some sailor's boombox on an opened window as i walked by the periphery of the barracks where we lived back in the day mid-80's. My mind goes there when I heard this song again and again as years went by! :)

" Dear Mr. Vernon, we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us... In the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain...and an athlete...and a basket case...a princess...and a criminal...Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club."

"Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favourite."

Brian Phillips I've been a fan of the amazingly talented Simple Minds since 1986, when I heard them playing for the first time. It's sad they've been underrated for so lomg and by so many... It's even sadder that most young people now know a lot of crap from the '80s, but many have never heard of or listened to Simple Minds, properly... 😫

Hello, I was interested in using a 10 second portion of your Simple Minds "Don't You Forget About Me" karaoke song. This would be for non-commercial use for an educational video for Cal State University Northridge. Unfortunately I would not be able to pay for the usage, but I thought I would ask for your permission of using the sound bite. Please let me know, thank you!

Sweetheart, she meant the song was in pitch perfect. Instead of being rude and trying to correct her, like her comment and get on with your day. She is obviously just stating a movie with the song in it. DUH! Me being a 15 year old letting you know whats going on means you need to become alot more considerate of others, I have to learn that as a teen like you do so be a little nicer! @Kelly Ross ignore her comment...since your comment received 56 likes and hers received 0.
