Hydrocarbon liquids and gasses are found too deep to be from decomposing biomaterial, and other planetary bodies within our own solar system have hydrocarbon liquids and gasses, and not traces, Titan is covered in oceans of liquid hydrocarbons and has a hydrocarbon atmosphere. De-carbonizing is one of the worst ideas possible. We need at least 2x the CO2 in our atmosphere if we want plants to grow the way they should.... because we are in a CO2 DROUGHT. At 405ppm, were barely above the minimum cutoff for life to exist (180ppm) when we’ve had over 7000ppm before.... once during an ice age.

I also am for all forms of energy. Oil Tankers Emit so much CO2 annually with their engines bringing small amounts of oil when pipelines don't. How is that Green or lowering emissions. Oil companies have done the most to develop technology to plug methane seeps. Wind takes so much cement. Lithium for batteries and rare earths for solar require strip mining. and in the case of lithium fracking is used. how is that renewable. All forms get cleaner thanks to the companies that develope them. But there is no "green " or "renewable energy source. Developethem all and the price of energy would be so cheap that the world would begin to have no reason for war.

A natural gas power plant produces about 4 times as much watt hours as a wind and solar plant. All while wind and solar Fields take up vast amounts of acreage to produce less. Has anyone actually done a real factor analysis of the overall pollutants over time and real environmental destruction? Not just C02 emissions. Which are misleading at best.

@@davidtucker99 I think it’s real. However I don’t think we affect it as humans like they say we do. It always has and always change no matter what. Look at all the windmills, solar farms, def, recycling, etc we have done over the last 20 years and supposedly we’re worse now then we were before all of those things. Not to mention catalytic converters and efi on vehicles so they don’t as much gas as the old carburetors did. That should tell all the believers something. That no matter what we do it’s not going to change and the government knows that!! It’s all about them getting rich off of it.

She really wasn’t the best pick to lead this department. The DOE is absolutely critical and has plans that would greatly help this country, but she’s really not the person to lead it. What’s interesting is that the US Department of Energy actually has full decarbonization plans for the US that are by far the most credible and comprehensive plans I’ve ever seen for any governmental body. Yet in all of these plans they don’t support 100% renewable AND THEY PROVIDE EXPLANATIONS AS TO WHY…… And that why is a conversation that this administration has really never had. Granted it requires some technical insight to the operations of the electrical grid and regional consumption relative to exist climatary conditions, which this in addition to not being the most politically beneficial discussion is probably why it’s never been discussed.
