Married to the same woman for over fifty years, never in trouble with the law, a stoner or drunk, Don is almost unique in the music business. I've followed him since his days with the Pozo Seco Singers in the 60s. Not only do I love his music, I admire the MAN. We have our Willie's and Possum's, and we love their music too. But Don brings a LOT to the table. He has written wonderful lyrics, and his voice has soothed millions. Gotta love this guy.

Wow..! Glad to know that. I was born sick and poor, failed in my primary school until I got a medical breakthrough and went back to school. I learnt English, started listening to Don Williams and as a teenager I remember reconciling with my childhood lover with the song "Today I started loving you again" specifically with Don's version. With my English language mastery, I went to the US at New York University and.....wow I loved being in the country where Don lived! no matter the distance from New York to where he lived.

This song reminds me of traveling to my Mom who was on her last hours of life. I left Saskatchewan for Vancouver Island. My Mother had an accident and I was told she had very limited time left. I made it to Vancouver Island in 19 hours and got to spend two days with Mom. It was the first time I seen my Mom in almost 12 years. It was also the first time I had been away from my wife and kids in 10 years. I heard this song and imagined myself embracing my beautiful wife and children. My Mom passed away 2 and a half years ago but when I hear this beautiful song, it takes me back to the trip through the mountains and back through the prairies. I love this song wholeheartedly.
