Also one thing I appreciate is that his first couple appearances this season didn’t beat you over the head screaming “WOAH DONALD’S BACK!? WEIRD HUH HOW MYSTERIOUS!” And was only brought up as something strange when Debbie saw him again.

My only nitpick with this entire season so far was this scene. It's an incredible coincidence that he managed to find glasses exactly like his in the rubble of an explosion. Even after Cecil went to make sure Donald didn't know about this. Seems like something Cecil would've thought of beforehand.

I guess Cecil kept lying to Donal about his brain remaining, the video shows that the explosion comes from the computers table, not from behind Omni-man, that's the only way Donald head could've been shielded by Omni-man's body, this Donald is probably 100% mechanical or his brain is cloned or something, that's why he can't remember, because this new brain only have his memories up to a certain point.

i like the fact that cecil's fake story to donald would've held if it wasn't blatantly obvious that 1. omni man straight up crushed his spinal cord, and the rest of his back with it 2. he was IN FRONT of the explosion, as can be seen from the camera. unless nolan suddenly flew right in front of him, he would've taken the full force of the blast and shielded nolan instead

I don't think so. Rather, I think if he was (partially) a Viltrumite, the knife would have gotten in deeper due to his Viltrumite strength, rather than just bent at the very tip. Donald is clearly tougher than the average person, beyond that, but he doesn't have the physical strength of a Viltrumite. I don't think he's even human, or atleast not anymore.
