About a year after this interview, I had the great privilege of seeing their show in Milwaukee WI. They gave a great show and were fantastic together. After the show I had the unique opportunity to meet each of them backstage to chat and get their autographs. They were both so gracious and the epitome of class.

We no longer have entertainers on this level of greatness. They knew what their job was and were perfectionists at achieving what was expected. Old Hollywood was dedicated to their industry and, the public who appreciated and made them famous.

I was just out of high school when this was filmed. I wish I could go back and tell my younger self… you don’t have forever with these legends GO SEE THEM!!! I would have loved it then, I was so into watching those classic movies. I find such comfort in those movies.

This is right before O'Connor had a facelift. Gone were the heavy lids, the rather tired face -- a result of years of heavy drinking (which he recovered from). So as trivial as it sounds, his refreshed face matched the energy he still had in the rest of his body.

Classic entertainers from the Golden Era of Hollywood. We will never see their likes again. Sad! Did they cut the film clips here of them dancing as they were way too short! Can't imagine Good Morning America had them that short when this was live TV.

Thanks for this beautiful upload. Great to see the lovely Debbie Reynolds unite with her Singing in the rain co-star, Donald O'Connor. Debbie was a star who looked like she would never age and, even at 84, just before she passed away in 2016, she looked fantastic. Donald, back in the 50's always carried that little-boy look. But, age has certainly caught up with him in this video and those tell-tale signs are patently visible in and around his eyes. Still, it's always a tremendous pleasure to see any video that features our dear Debbie, who was and will always be considered as "Hollywood Royalty"!

Including Debbie Reynolds, for years everyone has been saying she never danced before dong Singing in the Rain. Hogwash. at age 18, with Carleton Carpenter, she danced in 1950 in the movie Two Weeks With Love in a song called Row, Row Row, and did a fine job, it did Not look easy. Why does she perpetuate this lie? it was not several songs and not as complicated as Gene Kelly had her do, but it WAS dancing and fabulous. Did she have the brain drain or something? Don't believe nme? Go check it out for yourself.
