Donald Trump awards Presidential Medal of Freedom to MLB star Mariano Rivera

U.S. President Donald Trump presented the Presidential Medal of Freedom to former New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera.
Rivera played with the Yankees from 1995 until 2013, and was often known as "Mo" and "Sandman."

There are some people out there that we we just love to look at, isn’t there. And yes President Trump is by far one of the best of them. We could look at him for hours couldn’t we. He’s got that X factor aspect to him. And he’s still a good looking guy too. If only we could all age that well. Lucky for us fellas he’s no longer the spring chicken he used to be when he was just way too young, way too smart, way too rich, way too ambitious, way too clever, and way too famous, and certainly way too handsome. He was just way too much wasn’t he, until he included all of us by writing that book called the art of the deal, when he said there’s plenty out there for everybody. And he gave us lots of tips didn’t he along with teaching us the Trump way of operating. Man it works. So we dropped anchor and got off the misery ship and now we are richer and happier than ever before because we are on the Trump believing trip. Its a buzz. That book the art of the deal is the donuts and coffee of business life. It’ll get you revved up and believing. Read it. Believe it. Re read. Read it again. Sleep with it. Underscore it. It’s a blueprint for success. And now we are seeing a wiser man, a man of warmth, The President, Mr. Donald Trump, doing all that he can for his country. A man of vision. A man that is truly serving his country. Not just doing his duty but doing it to the utmost. And doing a hell of a job. Even the Democrats who aren’t crazy about him are secretly proud of him. He is becoming a great legend that’s greatly beloved, and deservedly so. The guy is actually a very nice man. But he’s got a job to do. And hey he’s setting some records isn’t he. Watching him achieve is something else isn’t it. Wow. Good on you America. You’re back on top.

Barbara Fischbach That’s right Barbara. Yes he is indeed a great President. Great people like this surface in times of great need. If ever he was needed it’s now. It’s almost as if these great ones are born for a time like this. Whilst supposedly no one is ever indispensable, however I think there are exceptions to the rule and Donald Trump appears to be one of them. He is a one off like no other. He’s actually irreplaceable. There isn’t anyone else who can get this very difficult job done as well as he can. Winston Churchill was a guy, like Donald Trump, who wasn’t particularly well suited to normal everyday politics, However he was the man to get Great Britain through her time of crisis. But after the war they didn’t need that type of in charge type guy anymore, and when America gets back on her feet again, with business as usual, Mr Trump’s extraordinary talents won’t be needed either. Mr Churchill sadly had his detractors, as does Mr Trump however when you’re being bombed on a daily basis they tended to be not quite as vocal as those in the USA. When someone extraordinary enters into the political arena, who knows what needs to be done and does it, invariably the other more ordinary politicians feel so shown up, that they try to camouflage this embarrassment with nonsense with things like the Russian collusion or idiotic stupid things like impeachment. It’s ridiculous of course but they are driven to this by their mediocrity. It’s understandable. Wise people recognise this. Those that oppose the Winston Churchill’s and Donald Trumps of this world are those who don’t like their in charge, can do attitudes. They want someone who won’t upset anyone. But these ones don’t get the job done. Those who criticised Winston Churchill or Abraham Lincoln, and they had a lot of critics, have no statues erected to them. President Trump has just as many critics as Churchill and Lincoln. I am pro-American but I’m not an American. I am a faithful New Zealander.
