I've lived in Doncaster for nearly 70 years and it's the worst it's ever been, I avoid going into the town as much as possible, all the decent shops have moved out, you get accosted by people asking for money every hundred yards, even in the car park druggies come up to you and ask for money. How it got the status of City is beyond me, I could have understood that forty years ago but not now.

I know what you mean, donny is strange place but I quite like it even though I live in Leeds

To us living in Donny it will always be a town even though they have rebranded it as a city

Lived in donny ( Armthorpe ) as a kid, spent my early 20s in Balby so Donny center was my town. I have to say it has improved , looks good. I moved to the south and i'm still here ,but I am still a northern las at heart .
