Totally agree with u. I believe that all of us reached that state many times in the past and we should keep any type of complex out of these parties. Parties are made for having fun and dancing while feeling completely free so as to keep good vibes and i always disliked bastards who ruined this because somehow they thought they where better than others.

Yay to normalizing taking an unsafe amount of drugs and to promoting destructive lifestyles
@Elmarcyboy10 жыл бұрын
***** Who said it's being promoted? Everybody is free to take whatever he wants since it's his body and not someone else's. I'm pretty sure there were less drug deaths back in the days than now since people take all kind of research chemicals, which are "legal".

As a 14 year old living in Houston, I'm left out because no one here listens to Dance music. And you're right...everyone is selfish in this age compared to the 90's and such and I'm VERY jealous. I would do anything to be a 90's teen, growing up somewhere like L.A. with tons of rave filled with Acid House, Techno, Breakbeat, Jungle, Happy Hardcore, maybe some old skool dubstep, etc... An Ecstasy playground filled with beautiful, wonderful, brilliant, caring people. Not a bunch of rich kids who think they hard af, who listen to shitty recycled trash because it's what cool kids listen to, who make fun of the socially awkward or weird people, who are so fucking insecure, or who listen to so called "Trap, Dubstep, House, Techno, Hardcore." So called "real music" the media a labels throw at the public. It's a shame :( Anyways P.LU.R.R.

Sarah huckerby exactly what I was thinking th other day. The 90s seemed incredibly selfless and where common civility still remained even on the dancefloor. Sure we have great clubs like Fabric and Berghain and festivals now but the sense of the not giving a damn about what others think of you and just rolling with it and enjoying the music seems to have disappeared. It's all about who you can pull and get into bed with rather than just having a sick time blowing off steam

I started going to raves in 1994 and my first one was Fantazia vs Ark in Blackpool. I was only 14 but I remember it so well, the atmosphere was incredible, it was hot, sweaty, loud and the whistles were deafening. After that i went to loads more, I was mainly a Vibealite regular when it was in Bradford but also went to Pandemonium, Pleasuredome, Ark, amongst others. I still go out now but only a few times a year. The main difference between those days and now is the following. 1. In those days it was frowned upon if you were drunk at a rave, you were 'the pisshead'. I only ever saw 1 or 2 people drunk back then. 2. Back then everybody danced and felt comfortable doing so and even if you were a self-conscious person, as i was, that dissolved when you saw everybody else dancing so you automatically joined in. 3. If you bumped into someone or vice versa, you or them couldn't apologize enough. You then shook hands and went or your way. 4. Whistles and horns made the atmosphere better. 5. Girls were much safer, less rapey pervs around. 6. Because Events like this were very underground and niche and you had to get tickets from behind the counter of a local record shop, it made it much more of an effort, people went for the MUSIC alone. This filtered out many of the knob heads, trouble makers. 7. Nearly everyone was either on speed or Pills, or both. lol. No Ketamine, GHB, Bubble or any of that shite. Which meant a more coherent and 'on the same level' crowd who's collective attention could be held by the DJ much easier. 10. No phones, people on the dance floor weren't distracted which made for a better atmosphere. 11. The DJ was unseen, tucked in corner up in the rafters somewhere, the Event was about YOU and the Music.
