Everyone should do their homework on what the player does before buying it. You can definitely play this at a party by connecting to speakers via bluetooth or use the headphone jack (audio out). The thing no one mentions is that the player and it's cloud software (via Chrome or Edge) can take any song on KZbin (and other sites too), split up the music into stems and load it on to the player. KZbin has most of the current albums on it now that labels view it as a DSP. That process of splitting the music and downloading to your player is very fast and easy to do. Just paste a link and click. If this device was capable of turning songs into stems and/or be a sampler, it would cost much more than $200. I ordered one yesterday (Wed), it shipped the next day and it's arriving on Monday (5 days total), so they're shipping fast now.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad shipping has sped up! I honestly thought they'd instantly sell out; Especially since they're only sold I'm 2 countries right now. Although converting music from KZbin typically isn't a good idea (due to poor quality), it's plenty good for personal listening and is a nice touch. I do wish I could interface with the player directly versus being limited the stem player website.

@@DJSt3rling I too would prefer to have more access to the player directly although I understand why they don’t want to make desktop software for both Mac and Windows then manage that software with updates, etc. for a first generation product. The CEO said in an interview they are working on other products with Kanye so we might see more music gear from them. If labels are post higher resolution music to Artist’s KZbin pages, then it shouldn’t be too bad for listening and messing around with the device. You can buy songs from iTunes and upload them to the player too.

If only you could upload mp3/wav/flacc directly to the player (via usb) and it preformed stem-splitting on the fly. This is honestly what I thouht it did at first. I was like, oh, I can hook this up to my dj controller or use it on the studio lol 😆 When they first advertised it, so little info was available.

I believe you can also upload any music file you own to it. So if you want to split Baby One More Time into stems, but you don't want to spend the time to try to do it yourself (or don't know how) , the software that comes with this device does that for you, then you can upload it onto the Stem Player. The stem player only has so much space though, so sometimes you have to remove songs to add songs (or stems of songs). You can also record yourself while you play with the Stem Player and save those as recording which you can send to yourself and save to other devices, and then play those at parties. And of course like you said, connect to a Bluetooth speaker to play in real time. I don't even own one of these but I watched a couple videos, haha easy peasy!

Let me warn you guys of one more thing before you buy. The speaker makes a static sound as soon as you turn it on. It's very audible regardless of whether or not you're playing music.

It tool 3 months?! I ordered mine last week and the info page on the website says 2 days and i emailed their customer service and nothing really came of that. I got a response but it was vague and not helpful. That’s annoying

When I pre-ordered mine, I was told it'd arrive in a few weeks (this was still Summer). I even have an email from Donda's Support Team, saying that the product had already shipped (when it actually did not). Anyway, I received an email last Tues confirming that it had *actually* shipped and it arrived 2 days later.

So is it not 97 db?
@DJSt3rling2 жыл бұрын
No! Not even close. The music that comes on the stem player has even been optimized to sound good & it doesn't get loud at all. I should get a dB meter and measure this.
