One thing I can say is that I have always been strong minded person and that is what has helped me, unfortunately, my ex (Sagittarius) was not at the end instead he showed me how much of a coward he was, and yes he also showed me how bad his insecurities became. But the 3rd party who came looking for him is very manipulative and noticed this about him and she kept stroking his ego and making him feel young and good-looking something that got her what she wanted from him even though they are not in the same country.
