DONEGAL: Arranmore Island - AN ISLAND OFF THE ISLAND

Today we will be visiting ARRANMORE ISLAND in DONEGAL.
Arranmore is situated off the coast of County Donegal on the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way. The Island has a wealthy heritage and Culture and has been inhabited since prehistoric times. It is a beautiful place where way marked trails lead you to sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, lakes, lighthouse, and much more. The views are spectacular where you can see the Atlantic Ocean.
You can find accommodation and places to eat and drink. Try activities such as diving, sea angling, sailing, kayaking and many more. Hop on your bicycle or walk to explore the island’s many hidden gems. We got a map from the ferry ticket box office.
Take a trip to Arranmore Island and connect with the local people. Ferry services from Burtonport on the mainland offer regular crossings to and from the island, you can even bring your car if you wish.
