Donegal International Rally Legends 2022 - 50th Year Celebration.

The Donegal International Rally 2022 was the 50th running of this epic event in the hills of Donegal. Let's not forget the legends and heroes of the past. We catch up with some of them at the Rosapenna Hotel in Downings where the very first Donegal Rally started and turned into this great event we all know & love. Ruaidhri Nash was on hand to have a chat with some of the guys Sunday Morning.

Absolutely brilliant seeing Cathal Curely. I remember him and Dessie McCartney and Adrian Boyd in their Carreras in the early 70's. It was their spectacle that got me hooked on rallying. I have a very clear memory of the corkscrew stage at Knockagh, Carrickfergus, must have been the Ulster Rally ('75 '76?) of watching the Porsches tail out in the hairpins, each car nudging the dry stone wall until it eventually collapsed into the river below!
