July 8th 2024 Dog this Left Eye verse is legendary. Omg it brings tears to my eyes every single time pure excellence. From the way she smiles bobbing her head and stands up tall! I feel the James Brown energy as she stands and marches soo proudly before the drops the most incredible verse I’ve ever heard from a female Artist. Her vocal delivery so powerful, clear, the clarity of each word and it’s a heavy heavy verse. Inside and out this verse is amazing. Her confidence her energy her message ! Listen to her lyrics break it down and read it! She’s legit . Excellence. To know this level of skill is gone makes my soul sad. She was a gift to this planet. This song is a gift as well. +Stephanie Samuels Sometimes perception is everything. What hurt Left Eye's reputation as a rapper is that she was a member of an R&B group. Most people never took her seriously as a rapper simply because of that. But if people looked past her R&B affiliation and paid attention, they'd realize that she's one of the best female rappers EVER!

@Lukecage832 жыл бұрын
You know I never understood why people say "and look, no cuss words!" - it's like you people limit Hip-Hop and rap to profanity, and nothing more - so you're mind blown when you hear a rapper or MC who doesn't include it in their music. SO WHAT!?!?! Would Left eye's verse be any less good if she said "shit" somewhere in there? It's Such a hypocritical issue because a lot of the people who praise rappers who "don't curse" in their music, more than likely curse up storms themselves (yourself included). Nas used (uses) profanity in his music - is he NOT as poetic a writer because of it? Everyone's rap Jesus 2pac did as well - was he not a good writer because of it? Hip-Hop was born in the street. It's street music! you're gonna hear profanity in the streets from somewhere, or see it on some thing. Whether it's that crazy homeless guy on the corner, or a wall that got bombed by a graffiti artist - it's reality! That said, profanity in Hip-Hop almost gives it a sense of realism; more so than if it wasn't used.
