My interpretation of the song... Fireworks are a symbol of temporary happiness: they light up the sky and slowly fade away. "Left hand of God" can mean sinister. Makeup can mean 'fake' or 'pretend' since makeup is often used to hide the imperfections or 'ugliness' of someone. I believe the meaning behind this song is that someone thinks they or humans were created to have their happiness taken away because they're not good enough or they have to pretend to make themselves/others think they are. They eventually accept and deny that they're hurting themselves emotionally in order to fuel a toxic fire they don't have to fuel, and don't want to do that anymore. They accept/think they were created to be 'sinister' as portrayed by the lyric: I shine bright and swallow by night. The night is often portrayed as darkness, which is evil. "If God is left-handed, I can't imagine how happy I'll be" could mean they think/hope they were meant to be created as evil and are serving their actual purpose. Finding purpose means to fulfill their lives, giving them something they can be happy to do/serve.
