I’ve been watching so many videos like this and this tutorial has been the best one by far 👍 thank you

You. Are. Brilliant. I've been doing leather work for a little over 2 years and I'm now just getting into tooling and Carving. I'm currently using the floral craft aids from Tandy due to my lack of artistic skills 🤣. And I'm beginning to learn the function each tool. After watching this video, coming into it with some knowledge of tooling, you have made the process much easier and simpler for me. Thank you. That's why you are a legend

I truly appreciate your detailed explanation Don, Your videos are the first formal education I’ve ever received. Your use of the under-cut tool was a huge revelation, amongst other things, I always wondered how Leather craftsman could make, and bevel those perfect tight radii. Your patience and detailed explanation is a gift to those of us that are rookies in this craft, but have a passion to learn and get better. Much obliged.

Because its a cheater tool! For those who dont know how to use the small beveler!! Lol just kidding. But i know what mean, i dont believe Tandy or any of the common craft tool makers sell "crowners" its an uncommon tool. In Al Stohlman's books he uses either a camouflage tools or a viener to get the same effect. I ended up just sanding down an extra camo i had laying around. Im indifferent towards them.

I watched you tool each flower one at a time turning your leather many times. I speed the process up by tooling the flower pedals that face the same direction on each flower. You end up turning your leather only 4 times. The same is true when you get to the bevelers.
