In the translated video description below, the "ominous star" is a reference to 北斗の拳 (Fist of the North Star). There is a star in the Big Dipper called the 死兆星 (shichousei - literally "death omen star"). If you see it, it means you will die within one year. The star's real name is Alcor. It forms the "Horse and Rider" asterism with Mizar.
