This audience recording of Lucia marked the return of Joan Sutherland after a season's absence at the Met. On that night Richard Bonynge made his Met debut ! Joan was greeted by the audience with storms of applause!
This Met Lucia came shortly after the Philadelphia Lucia's and again she was in great form.
A few weeks later was the Lucia Met broadcast with Richard Tucker , now available on CD from the Met, not in good audio quality, there was too much filtering done !!!Done by the wrong people....pity !
