SVT's Graceful, Yet Intricate Piece | SEVENTEEN - Not Alone Reaction + Dance Review

SEVENTEEN had a graceful, but intricate dancing this time around. I think Not Alone is on par with "Without You" in terms of soft execution.

My real name is Tad, but DonKawaii/Don was simply an IGN name I created so I kinda just rolled with it. Lol. You can call me either one. I am also a teacher, and I teach people dance. Normally, I teach my students dance through sharing my own choreography, giving people drills or exercises to build foundation and technique, or share my own philosophy. and I've been dancing for 15 years mainly growing up through Hip Hop dance culture, but have also taken inspiration from other dance artforms such as ballet, jazz, and tap. I know it’s a dumb detail, but I really noticed it for this Choreo - that in order to blend it with blocking formations in the back Mingyu always tilts his head down to appear as small as possible. I’ve heard him mention it in videos before, but I really noticed the purposeful angling for this one, especially with the slow pace

4:54 we only have some who's stage name is japanese (hoshi) and someone who's always gets mistaken as japanese cause looks like one (jeonghan) but no real japanese members😂

Eh?? Hoshi's stage name is Japanese? I've always heard it meant tiger's gaze in Korean aaa-

Yes. Also, because Jeonghan studied (studying) japanese making him responsible for their speech etc. Among them, you can see him as the most fluent, so people also mistaken him as the japanese member hehe Edit: The rest of the members are studying too. If I remember it correctly, Woozi wrote "Ainochikara" in japanese first.

I felt the video was an accurate representation of COVID-19. I'm glad it doesn't have much dancing. It felt the point is about living behind the screen. Like being alone but still celebrating online. I think the parts where they come together symbolize a few things. 1. The longing to be with your friends and family. 2. The longing to perform.. 3. All the empty seats and empty city etc. They do tell this with their dance also but I don't think it would translate as well. I think they wanted the message to get across more than dancing. Even Dino turning the dancing off is symbolic. I can't wait for an offline concert.. When it's safe. I know you are a dance based channel but it wouldn't hurt to watch some of their funny content... Or actually Hit the Road, I think it's road.. I get those mixed up.. anyway. It's an insider view of their world tour that was eventually cancelled due to COVID. I'd be interested to see your opinion on their trials. I've seen several people react to it without issues.

Thanks for this reaction and for all of the SVT reactions so far! There's no more videos left in terms of dance practices but there's also Fast Pace (B-side from Boom Boom era) that has an amazing choreo! It doesn't have a dance practice video though but I think it'd be fine to react to a live stage! Just a suggestion for something extra to check out! Cheers!

I think the background noise you were kinda bothered about was someone (probably Seungcheol) was hyping them up- I mean it happens often and it’s usually Hoshi doing it but for some reason seems like it’s not him this time around
