When I was a kid, I used to believe there was a room in the caves that has a really narrow path that spiraled upward to leads a secret area. Also I used to believe that there was a sequel a DK64.

It's odd that Grant removed the snakes slithering sounds after the loop of the music, just like the zombie moans in the Catacombs/Mausoleum in Creepy Castle. Though the snake sound can be heard far after the loop at 3:13.

As a kid, when i entered that "2nd world", i was so scared of just passing by the quicksand pit with the vines to not get hit lol. And the music gave me the creeps. 😨

DK64 used MIDI, so they could make a lot of songs with realtively little space. Old technology rules when done right. 🙂
