I remember the excitement to get at this level (specially when I had taken almost over a couple of years to realize there was a secret world). It took me by surprise since it was so unusual to see a rocket in this (lol!). I remember taking a whole day to complete this level (and then complete this game at 103%).

I love the tension of this theme. It's like saying you reached the true last level of the game. Beat this and it's time to face the real final boss. I think this is a better final level then the regular one that non-completionists would play. I mean a sewer with inverted controls. It's cool but it doesn't give off the vibe of last stage like this one does. DKC3 is known for it's unique level ideas so it would make sense for it's final stage to try something completely different to take the player by surprise like Rocket Rush did.

Yeah? Try it in hard mode without the half way save barrel. Honestly, the level's difficulty stems from trial and error and requiring a perfect run.

@@TurboSke Yes, there's actually two of them. One removes the majority of the DK barrels, and the other removes all of the DK barrels AND save barrels. The former nets you up to 104% completion and the latter 105%. On the main menu, press L, R, R, L, R, R, L, R, L, R to enter the "cheat mode" and enter a game with the name HARDR or TUFFST to start a game with either mode, respectively. You'll hear Dixie crying if you entered it correctly.
