I just noticed King K Rool seems to be aware of Bowser's failures against Mario and tried to adapt in order to face Donkey Kong/Diddy. Instead of living in a castle full of lava, he's on a boat surrounded by water and will jump around like Mario as if he thought it was the best way to defeat an opponent.

I was lucky/skilled enough to make it to the next save area after doing the skip on accident, i had that save file on my cartridge for decades... until my kids started playing my SNES. lol... on the plus side, they enjoy the game as much as i did at their age. Plus, its common knowledge about the game these days. so nothing super special to keep in the end.

When I was a kid I accidently found a glitch that took me straight from the bend in between level 1 and 2 straight to the master necky battle without all the levels in between which would cut this record down considerably

The warps between the first two levels will take you to level 3-5, which is done here. There are two other warps in the first world which will also take you to that level and one that takes you to 1-2. The first Master Necky fight is in W2 and the one in W6 cannot be warped to. The warp used here in level 3-5 that takes you to 6-2 is the furthest you can warp in the game.
