Funky's Flights from DKC in pristine studio quality. This was made possible by locating the sounds from workstation keyboards and drum machines such as the Korg Wavestation, Roland S770, and Roland R8, and plugging them into the music instruction data ripped from the game, plus a little mixing magic to create might have sounded like with the veil of 16bit compression lifted. Part of a project to restore the entire DKC series soundtrack

I can't help it. These "restored" tracks do sound good, but I fell in love with this soundtrack running on a Super Nintendo playing on my parent's Zenith console TV, so that's the sound I'm nostalgic for. Also: David Wise is very good at music. That's important, keep that in mind as you go through this playlist.

Uhm, I'm pretty sure Robin Beanland made this track considering that this track was originally used for the inhouse development process of Killer Instinct. Wise isn't the only one who made DKC's music, Robin Beanland and Eveline Fischer (who ended up composing DKC3's music) also worked on this soundtrack.
