I like the fact that when Mario eats a mushroom, he literally just grows in size rather than going from short mario to tall mario.. I cant imagine what a Mega mushroom or Golden mushroom would to do him

It still feels wildly inappropriate to me.. I get that there is precedent for it, but Country's DK always struck me as a character that does not use power-ups at all, especially not Mario power-ups. I guess I just don't want to see DK be diluted, homogenized and ultimately assimilated in the Mario series.
