Donkey Kong's Underrated Game Boy Title | Wario Enthusiast

This game came out at around the same time as the Super Gameboy, an add-on for the SNES that allows Gameboy games to be played on the SNES. Some Gameboy games, such as Donkey Kong, are Super Gameboy games with enhancements when played on it. You get a border that emulates the original arcade machine, Pauline has a higher quality voice and there is partial colour in the game. It’s pretty cool. Overall this is pretty good, and as you said introduced a lot of new things that would be used in the Mario series. It got a successor in Mario vs Donkey Kong for the Gameboy Advance, which got a remake recently for the switch. Good review!

I would say that this is still better than both its "Successor" and its Switch remake. You can just feel the passion oozing out of DK '94 in a way.

Dk 94 really surprised me when I first played it. I was expecting DK, but on the game boy, not an amazing game.

I agree this game is another under appreciated title in the grand scheme of things and it definitely is better than it has any right to be, but I’m curious what you think of it’s follows up with the Mario vs DK series and its now remake

this game is great, except for a couple of levels that either took me way too long to figure out, or were just annoying.
