Donkey Training {Halter Training Pt. 3}

This is very helpful. I'm a new mini donkey owner and she was so scared of me at first. Now I can pet her, treat her, even touch her legs. She will back up a few paces if i touch a leg. She needs her hooves attended to very soon but is halter shy. Halter terrified more like it! I can touch her with the lead now most of the time. I will start trying the halter again with these techniques.

When you are leading him and going for a walk what do you do if he spooks and tries to run? Mine did that to me when we were walking in the yard and he freaked out over an umbrella.

What kind of treats do you use?

Different ones.. as long as they are no sugar I like to mix them up so the donkeys don’t get bored
