Donna was and still is adorable! She was FANTASTIC in SNF, to the point where it's impossible for me to imagine anyone else playing the role of Annette other than her. She's also been pretty great in everything else I've had the pleasure to see her in (real soft spot for Angie, a sitcom that's been criminally forgotten) and truly appears to be a sweetheart in real life as well. A lovely, gorgeous lady and an excellent actress.

I’m so partial to Annette in the movie. Watch her and you see she’s actually a better dancer than Stephanie, and (IMO) very cute. And she adores Tony, while Stephanie just runs her fake “I’m more sophisticated than you” head games on him. What’s the problem being with her? “Too fat”? That’s bullshit!

I believe it was definitely that annette was too pushy trying to be with tony in any capacity. Tony was afraid of commitment or being stuck in one place a long time the way he told her that she wanted to have a family and married and such. I'm sure tony had those thoughts of moving up & wanting more for himself & didn't want to put himself in a position where he got stuck. Had annette played her cards right, kept the marriage/family aspect to a very minimum & been smart she most likely would have been with tony but it seemed doomed from the start

There were some parts of this movie owhen they were in the back seat of the car that you will never never see ever again, even the dvds that say uncut version or full theatrical release or original full copy. I remember a few of the racial poems they sang with some naughty words you can't say today about Puerto Ricans and black people. There would be riots if they showed those today . Nobody remembers that

They really set up Tony Minaro (John Travolta) as the hero of this movie. If only he could have come out of the closet, the kind of role model we desperately needed in the gay community back then? Of course, back then, it was impossible, because it would have ruined his career.
