Beautiful - love what you did with the brown paper bag, the embossing folders, and the paint wash. I'm definitely going to do that on something! And the pages were crisp, clean, nice - the simple blue circles and dots really do give a sense of underwater - especially with the blue distressing on the edges of each page. The pages kinda look, to me, like deep water with a flashlight over it. The bubble have movement - almost like breakwater. The cover really sparked my interest. Just really lovely.

What a gorgeous, gorgeous cover and journal. I am so glad you shared how you colored the pages. The combination of 3 treatments just made them so serene. Seeing the Nancy drew cover took me back to the summer between 3rd and 4th grade. Back n forth to the library I went reading every single book. Then on to the Hardy Boys, and not to feel left out of my brothers fun, I read all the Tarzan books too. Just something about seeing an old book brings back the smell of the library, the creaks of the old wide plank wood floors, the somber portraits of creepy old people with eyes that seemed to follow us, lined the hallway leading to the various rooms of books. And the excitement of going home with the next few books in the mystery series that kept me enthralled those young summers. Thanks for feeding my heart this morning!

@@lorrimarie2002 I just ordered some crunchy and damaged old German books and music from a bookseller that cleans out old churches and estates. They had no idea there was a market for the parts they are throwing away. So they will be salvaging even more and opening an etsy store soon. Yay! More book parts saved from the dumpsters. I watched someone recently make beautiful bookmarks from the crusty bindings they cut out if books. So beautiful 😍

Your intro was especially touching and inspiring today. Being supportive to one another is so very important, through kindness, help, a listening ear, supportive and strengthening words, and in so many ways, big and small, just too numerous to list them all. In fact it would be impossible to list all the ways we can be supportive to each other. It's one of those things that we must play by ear, depending on the circumstances and people involved. But the most important constant factor is just simply to care, in my opinion... You and Rob are very caring people LorriMarie, and you set a very good example for others to follow, which is another vital constant factor...those who set good examples inspire others to do the same, and so the caring grows by leaps and bounds going forward, and in this world, boy do we need way more of that, dont we??? As for this beautuful book, it turned out great!!! I love the color, and the embossing of the cover, and have always liked the look of black on colors The black always makes the colors pop. Love the pages decorated with a coffee cup and watered down paint, a little stenciling, a fine example of simplicity at its finest. Also love the elastic closure with a nice button, great idea!! And love the nostalgia of the vintage library book card, the cherry on top.. I'm sure Donna will be pleased with the final product as will her friend after Donna adds her part. It's like a group hug isnt it? Sending much love, support, and big hugs to you, Rob and Hudson, and the 30,000 + and growing subbies, of which I'm grateful to be among!!!! Spread love, and kindness everyone!!! It truly is contagious!!! ( The good kind!!! )🍃😁😍🤗🍃

Silly question LorriMarie... I have a cuttle bug but haven't used it very much.. Do you put the embossing folder between A and B or between the two B's ...
