Hard to overstate how this lady changed my life. Remember hearing the 12’ version of ‘ I feel love’ on Radio 1 back in 1977 which airtime for tracks going over 3 mins was incredibly rare. Absolutely BLEW ME AWAY and saw the cover for ‘ I remember yesterday’ thinking just how beautiful that lady was...all at the tender age of 15.

I had a crush on Donna Summer since I was 16...I had all of her albums (in 1980) and I would look at her pictures and fantasize that she was my girl...I know...I was a 16 year old white boy...but we all have our fantasies...her voice was like that of an angel...and her eyes...man...her eyes were hypnotic....her face was beyond beautiful...I truly was in love with her...the day I found out she had died...I opened wept...my tears were seemingly unending...I never met her...how much I wish I could have kissed her just once...OK...I've had four Martinis...but it doesn't cloud the fact the Donna was a dream...she is immortal...

Woman has a voice like a battering ram. Knocks you flat every time. First time I saw her live, I'd though I'd been blasted by a high explosive. It's so hard to describe. Her recorded performances, however nice, don't do her justice. Her voice is not only precisely controlled, it's BIG, like an opera singer.

It's easy to know pop song singers. This pop song is from the early 80s. It's a song in cassette tape. I remember the song title as "stuff". The first bar of the chorus is also stiff. It's not Dona Summer's Hot Stuff. It's around the same time. It was a bit of a hit in Korea. It's just a staff. But. She's a white female singer. I don't even know the singer's name. No!
