Donna was the best female vocalist of all time! I don’t care what anyone says. Her voice was strong in and out of the studio, her voice was strong when she was young and when she got older. Even after being diagnosed with cancer she still sounded flawless and it seemed it was so effortless to her.

Merv was a great talk show host who had good taste in music, too! He had plenty of music acts of the day on his show. I remember seeing Softcell sing Tainted Love on his show for the first time. Merv was hip for his age! I miss watching his show in the afternoon every weekday and then American Bandstand and Soul Train on Saturdays. Plenty of music to hear and see back then on TV. Today thank God there’s KZbin or we’d have nothing! RIP Donna Summer and Merv Griffon-I’m sad that they’re gone😭It seems like the Good times are over. 😔

not just the good times are gone but the good feelings about things are gone now too. just have to do the best to make life worth it at this point. help animals, share helpful information with those living in the dark who are powerless and if you find someone you like, be friendly and try to be friends with them but dont think there will be plenty more opportunities to come along in the future.

@@dampergoldenrod4156 Your basically right. Now I live a simple and humble life and don’t expect much from people. That way I’m not disappointed. I’ve always tried to practice kindness and I’m dismayed by the cruelty shown to others. And I’ve always been good to animals. I’ve done all I can do to make life better including recycling and helping my neighbors. That’s all I can do and try to live life to the fullest. And stay away from the darkness. Take care!

Francesco Scavullo did the photography for this album, and also Barbra and Donna's record Enough Is Enough, and LIVE and MORE (plus, all the Cosmopolitan magazine covers he did while still alive), and she looks beautiful. The makeup artist gave her a smokey eye, which became all the rage for quite some time. Scavullo did great work. But, so did Harry Langdon, Jr, with such famous covers as Bad Girls, She Works Hard for the Money, On the Radio, The Wanderer, and more... Donna liked Harry Langdon's work as a photographer best, because she said that he captured the Donna Summer that she sees when she looks in the mirror. Meaning, how she sees herself, is what she saw in Harry Langdon's work.

I think that the Donna Summer's first video apareance was singing Aquarius (Wasserman in german); as Donna Gaines, her single artistic name. The Aquarius song was her first single recording ever; during the Hair musical season theater works in Germany. She was so beautiful from her young age. I call her: The 1,000 Voices Girl and The Lady Of The Song. I love her beauty, kind personality, all her voice colors, music sounds and her styles. Blessings to everybody! William Rodríguez-Zayas from my gorgeous island of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. The Enchatment Island; The Island Of The Lamb Of GOD. Amen.
