After posting my disco remix of Donna's iconic "MacArthur Park" a few days ago, I realized I wasn't entirely happy with the end result. Mainly I felt it was a bit sloppy because the beat kept slipping in and out of time throughout the song. So I ultimately made the decision to completely rebuild the mix from scratch. I kept the basic structure of my original mix, but improved the balance of the instrumentation, fixed the rhythm and drum sections, as well as letting the song go on an additional 2 minutes.
I definitely feel this sounds a hell of a lot better, and I am still so proud that I got the opportunity to remix one of Donna's most iconic songs. I will probably be deleting the original remix video, but before I do I want to thank everyone for the comments and likes. It means a great deal to me, because I know Donna means so much to you guys and I wanted to do her right. I hope she would approve.
