These comments from fans who say we need to get rid of xyz is why I don’t blame any player for not signing with the Canucks. Fans are completely brutal and totally out of touch of this era of cap, aav and player quality. Everyone needs to chill and wait for this team is get back to full health before skewering anyone. As long as the boys make it into the playoffs and get back full health, they are doing fine.

Why would players who are signing millions of dollars be afraid of the fans? That makes no sense
@brianpistolwhip13 сағат бұрын
@@josh.280 nah he's spot on, Canadian markets can be very unforgiving to players. Man it's refreshing to read his comment because I feel exactly the same way. Some fans are annoying with the amount of complaining and criticizing they do.

Word is Hronek has a separated shoulder, it's month to month apparently. If the Canucks place him on long term IR, can they free up the cap space to do a deal for a top four D-man?

I remember Jim Agnew... back in the day when the Sun would give report cards on the Canucks, Agnew would get something like a C+ from the writers. I remember one time they said that he was never out-of-place. Not the most talented player by a long shot, but great work ethic and grit. He played only 60+ games over 5 seasons for the team both as a D-man and forward, but had the courage to fight the toughest guys from other teams...

Canucks offense is not there, no one is consistent, goal here, goal there, if they score, they can win, but without even shooting enough how can you score goals? It’s been an issue for Canucks since last year all start break
@TheAurians17 сағат бұрын
I have to agree, the team has been experiencing offensive problems since even the tail-end of last year. With our blue line offensive power having declined, it's even more evident. Heinen is a fine pick, but he plays too siimilarly to what the Canucks already had ie. slow skater, non-threatening player. The entire team is so slow, like slower than any other team I'm watching. Sherwood isn't that fast, but he *moves his feet* and threatens opponents. I fear even he will get tired of this pace. With a slow and non-threatening offense, teams play their own game confidently and pound themselves against the defense until it breaks.

Hope canucks can find a way to trade and dump Desharnais and Myers contract. It is a loss of 5M AAV. Give up so many goals with Myers on the ice. It is terrible and hard to watch. Do not put all the blames to Silov. Needs to be better on Team defence
@37BopCity20 сағат бұрын
Ray is being polite because he is a media guy and he can only say so much. I disagree with the focus on Silovs goaltending, and instead put the focus on the quick opening goals on poor Canucks defence, led by Tyler Myers and Soucy and others. Myers needs to retire, he's too slow and got beat outright on one goal and can't handle the speed on other goals. Meanwhile in contrast Quinn Hughes was outstanding, but you can't expect Hughes to be the only reliable defenceman.

Hughes has some defensive mistakes lately too.

I agree. The blame-the-goalie crowd (in Vancouver, Edmonton, everywhere) expect every goalie to be a Hasek or Dryden or Price or Hellebuyck - every night. My interpretation of Ferraro was: support your goalie. Forwards, put on that offensive pressure. D corps, clear the f*cking blue paint - do not puck watch. This fan attitude about goalies is high drama, low reward stuff.
