Thanks, I have been there many times. There is a recorded history of these people, land-locked isolated, 1or more persons would make a trip to Knoxville 1 time a year for the community. I have been in the churchs and grave yards. When someone was sick, everyone knew and helped. When someone died everyone stoped, tied up their work animals and come help the grieving family. I like to imagine what prosperity has robed us of?

Cades Cove is one of my favorite places to spend time, we try to spend a few days each month there. It's not too far from our house. This is the truth, we stopped at one of the cabins towards sunset and all of us saw green glowing eyes looking back at us from the field and then they disappeared, I took several pictures and nothing showed up with the flash on or off. It was really strange, really strange.

I've been to Cades Cove several times and it is a beautiful place. You could spend several days exploring the cabins and Cemeteries and hiking and playing in the creeks, watching the bears and the deer and picnicking. If you have never been and get the opportunity to go please be aware that although it's a popular tourist area you absolutely can get lost if you wander too far from the populated areas and you must be vigilant of bears and wild pigs amongst other wildlife. I've seen many people chase after mama bears with her cubs to get photos. Cades Cove is not a petting zoo and if you are foolish enough to put yourself in such a dangerous situation you must understand the consequences could be deadly. So please be respectful and responsible and use common sense. I highly recommend everyone to visit at least once in their lifetime.

As I walked up onto the porch I could almost hear the Folk's from yesteryear.. No speaking it to my daughter I asked her it go upstairs & walk to the back wall & face the window and take the picture.. The window just above the woman in your picture.. I got back home & looked at the picture she took & seen Men women & children the thing that surprised me most was the clock that was numbered backwards.. Some family's I guess never leave home.. I've been there before that building sitting on those cribbing piles and cantilevered off all sides is really cool craftsmanship it's amazing how square and true it looks especially being as old as it is and having a foundation of a few small semi-flat rocks holding up all that weight that is indeed a pretty interesting place Awesome video Donnie ! 😁👍

I think the barn was used for hay storage for animals. You can see the hay rack in the middle hallway. The overhang on the sides was used to pull wagons under to protect them from rain. I have an old barn that has a hay loft. The floor of the loft has a thick layer of loose hay that had come off the baled hay through the out the years. In the center hallway, the air flows through and it feels like it has air conditioning.

Thanks Donnie, I heard the baby cry and the woman speaking; saw the faces. No idea except to say maybe it's those who lived there that didn't agree with the government taking their land. I've been to Cades Cove, it's a beautiful place but the government had no right to take people's land if they didn't want to sell. It's not like the TVA, people needed electricity.

Wow Donnie...I don't know what to say! I saw the face looking out...and another that appeared to be laying on the first one's shoulder. I also heard the baby and the woman. I could not tell what she was saying. I walked through one of the graveyards at Cade's Cove a few years ago. So many infants and children in it. So sad. I just thought how blessed we are with modern medicine that could have probably saved many of those children. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week! God bless!

Neat audio and video Donnie....it does look like 2 faces looking out the bottom pane of that window....and definetly a woman's voice heard behind you....and the sound of a baby's wail ....but from what I could hear with my headphones on....is that the baby's wail sounded deeper ....like something around there was mimicking the sound.....I've read where people have heard similar sounds out in the woods where Sasquatch sightings have occured..very intriguing....Thank you for this neat video Brother.

I am a transcriptionist, trained to hear any voice. That woman's voice at the cantilever barn, clearly said, "Oh,my God, help me." Listened to it in a silent room three times. Very clear voice, no mistaking the words she spoke. Makes me wonder what may have happened at that barn. Hmm. Thanks for an intriguing video and photos. Makes me want to go there, but then again....

Great video Donnie! I definitely heard the baby crying and the woman's voice was quick but not clear. The faces in the window are really cool, but I'm not surprised at all. I mean that was home to a lot of people over time, and you know as well as I do how much the land meant to the people who worked it and lived off the land. Talk to you on the next video my friend! :)

I was at the house and the barn that you saw the face and heard the voice. I spent extra time on that particular place going through the upstairs of the house and trying to figure out what the purpose of the barn design was used for. I tried to imagine what it would be like living there back in the day. Great videos Donnie, I certainly appreciate the effort you put into making these !

I love history especially the history of East Tennessee. That face in the window is real plain to see. That kinda give me the willies! I heard the baby crying and the voice that spoke to you. You know that old saying there are more things in heaven and earth than we've dreamt of. I love Cades Cove and been there many a time. It's one of the most beautiful places the Lord ever made for us to enjoy. I been watching your videos here and there and love to hear you tell stories and show the wonderful East Tennessee outdoors! Nothing more beautiful in the whole wide world! Thank you so much for making and sharing your videos. May God bless you sir.
