Interview with Donovan for Australian TV show Nightmoves in 1977. Interviewed by Michael Gudinski, date and place unknown. Audio dropouts are on the source tape, unfortunately.

Donovan is his own person and looks like no one else and is no one else. Just like you. He is a unique person and musical genius and was responsible for initiating musical paths never considered before. Being a Taurus he loves calmness and has a gentle attitude toward life.

Great inverview. Donovan is the coolest person. Whenever his interviews end you are left wanting to know more. Shame about the audio hiccups, sounds just like my cable TV when the program I am watching reaches a dramatic moment.

I can hear Al Stewart in his voice, and I see Matthew Sweet when he grins at the interviewer. I also see a former colleague of mine in his overall visage. Donovan’s that special kind of person who inspires and makes other people into who they are.

Donovan wasn't in Australia in 1977, but he WAS in late 1975. Not again until April 1982. So, no doubt, this was filmed on late 1975. My notes say the interviewer was Lee Simon, but they may be wrong.

Ah, but the interview was probably recorded in London; Nightmoves wasn't on air in 1975 as I recall. :)
