What Amorim is doing is the right thing to do. He's testing the players to see who's got what it takes. As a Villa fan i dont have any hatred for any other team. I hated it in the 90s when utd was always winning everything but didnt hate on the team. Being honest Haaland was out of order at Etihad, throwing the ball in a players head he should have been penalised for that. If he did that to Roy Keane he would be out for 6 months. Pep always knew Arteta is a detailed, intelligent and strategic manager. Although the major trophies haven't arrived yet, I strongly believe they will. It's just a matter of time for Arteta. Deep down, Pep knows this. He knows he has a battle on his hands against Arteta. I don't fear Slot or Liverpool. Credit to their form but I believe they've been lucky with injuries and an easy opening run of fixtures to build their confidence. Salah also had a lot of rest unlike other players involved in the Euros. Liverpool will go through that transition period next season just like City are with their aging players. VVD, Salah and Robertson are all getting old and at least 1 will move on. Trent looks likely to leave as well. With a fit 11v11, Arsenal are the stronger team imo. Even Slot said Arsenal were the best team he's faced
