Agreed with everything Mads had to say after the game. Absolutely spot on. Its hard watching players with bags of ability but no heart, it's like they don't realise the opportunities that they've been afforded. Playing for a club like SE Dons isn't a right, it's a privilege, and it seems like a lot have forgotten that. However. This is what you get, when you turn Sunday league into Saturday reserves. Its always gonna be the second option for these boys. You need players hungry to prove themselves, people on the way up, not players that have already been there. Wishing you the best of luck with the rebuild.

Commenting again after the last final . Nathan summed it up perfectly , you guys don’t care anymore it’s so clear to see it’s unbelievable . I love this club so much to the core iv been watching these since the yellow kits , but this is so so so poor . Apart from donnies team talk the changing room was just flat , it was just flat!! You guys were taking it as if it were a friendly, big changes need to be made and it’s deeper than just king , he’s done all he can . For reion, i know he has passion and he’s tryna get his message across to the players but he’s doing it in the wrong way!! Never ever has anything positive to say and you can SEE the effect it has on the team just leads to more and more toxicity , it doesn’t benefit anyone in anyway it just leads to so many arguments . Also , the willingness to defend as a core , as a team , is just disgusting people are losing the ball and just walking?? Ain’t the dons that i once you ima keep it 100 . Get players in that are going to be committed week in week out , get players in that WANT to be here then i know for a fact you’ll see results go your way . This is all for YOUR MOTHER , PAULA , it’s deeper than just a football club you guys are doing it for her as well but clearly some of these boys just see it as a joke and just a kick about on a sunday . Get players in that want to really play it’s as straight forward as that . Jr has to come back in as management get it back to how it was before because he could put fear into the team , as much as I love kingy, he hasn’t got that . Start it off with new defenders that are WILLING to defend , then the management team , then we can finally start talking about winning trophies again but until all that is sorted this is all your going to get something has to change Donny. Hurts me a lot to see us like this forreal man but hopefully we come back soon🤞🏾as always anything for the dons & #A4P❤️

Disappointing defeat but I do think a few things needs to be addressed. Firstly, management including Rhino needs to be aware the game has changed. The shouting and harsh criticism does not work with this generation. Kingy should have been given another season with an experienced number 2. Somebody who does not know the players personally. Also, better players need to be recruited. I like Toby from Baiteze however when the going gets tough he is somebody you cannot rely on. I am not sure how people are being brought in but there needs to be a serious look at it. In general, man dem need better discernment in how to communicate with each other because all this keeping it real stuff in a crude manner does not work for everyone. I hear Nathan at the end but that type of language will just either make people leave or ruin confidence. It's not about delivering in a soft way but rather finding alternative ways.

As someone who has supported Don Strapzy from his music days before the SE Dons journey I love the progression. Some constructive criticism if I can: I do think there needs to be some change. I often see comments about how Dons need the old players back but football is a young man’s game and you see it when Dons play teams like Baiteze, UTR, Hatcham etc. A lot of these Dons guys been about for almost a decade now and some fresh blood is needed. Baiteze especially seem to be good at reinventing their team every couple years. For example their team that won the FA Nationals in 2022 is very different to the team that beat you in the London Cup final a couple weeks back. But they still retain some OGs who understand what it means. Would love to see you guys go into the Saturday league at some point but you should win the SFL, London and Nationals first. All the best and good luck

The standard that the Dons set for themselves will ensure that they will continue to have success no matter what, BUT..... It probably won't be until years from now that we can actually appreciate what these guys have done for grassroot sports in the UK. I grew up close to these guys, ive seen where they come from, to do what they have done is nothing short of phenomenal. Having these little kids run around in your Sunday league teams kit or having hundreds of stangers come from all over the planet to watch your team play is not common. It's become almost normal for THEM, but just take a look at these 'fantastic' YT teams who have sprung up out of no where just to disband after one poor season. Ive seen SO MANY YT teams come and go over the last 5 or 6 years, all of them trying to eat from their plate, but it takes more than just a camera and good footballers, it takes heart, consistency and a real love for this thing. I actually couldn't care if the Dons win or lose, that's for them to worry about. Football is an up n down sport, we see it all the time. These Sunday league footballers from South London have made history and no one can ever take that from them. The cups and league titles will come as will the shitty seasons, but the legacy will always remain. Keep going mandem👏🏾

Clear as day one big issue is Rhino , a man when on the pitch put in a shift but wasnt technically the best player. Barking at players , giving them grief when its not needed. Way to much negativity from him. As for a manager, you need someone who isnt everyones mate , who doesnt mind upsetting players , dropping players who arent at it and having his own style and telling voices on the sideline to not get involved with tactics etc. let him have his style and tactics and let him get on with. Another thing is you look through this season and how many times have you scraped 11 players and had to have emergency back up. You need commitment, get rid of the players who cant be bothered and replace with lads who are hungry and will play for the badge. Things arent the same as they once were but can easly get back to that if the players / club want it to.

Well done Kingy. Tough to come in and manage a group of largely new players after loosing the core group a season or two ago. I hope Reino takes on board the criticism, only seems to berate players rather than lift them up. I think an external manager might be a great move. Some more team building in the squad I think will help them gel more. A new manager might bring the positivity back. Too negative in a lot of the team talks apart from Donny’s before the game. Amazing production on the episode. It's a shame about the season but as a watcher for years, the biggest difference is the heart to defend isn't there. Players like Jazz, SK, RJ, JD would put everything on the line to defend but the current crop might be technically better but the mistakes they make it's just not there. I don't think it's even on King when the defenders are making the same mistakes and this needs to be upgraded next season. Both games the CB's couldn't handle players with pace, Bamba is quality but should've been defended better. Thank you for also sharing the dressing room conversations it's important for the fans to see that and also bait the players out to charge them up for next season.

Dons have been bad since the RJ Greeno season. That was like 4 years ago. Poor management of this club, which comes from the top

They’ve not been bad for 4 years man, this year and last at a push

Dons got to take the Baiteze route. Sacked Billy and brought in Tom or whatever his name is and he changed the club around with fresh players. We love the current Dons players but there needs to be a new generation next season

The quest for winning tears the soul out of a club . I prefer characters to ballers. Its Sunday league guys you win some you lose some its the nature of not being professional. Your best player may have to work that day or been on an all nighter . It is what it is

About time they changed management. Rhino is not a coach they gave him that job off bants, king tried but let’s be honest not many people take him serious

Nathan palmer really represents what us as fans want from this club man people joke about the attitude but his work rate stands for itself other man need to take a page out his book and run for the badge no matter what #anything

What Big G said at the end about the lack of love for defending is true. Jazz was a top defender,he loved all the sliding tackles and headers.

Donny Jones speech pre game made me wanna run through a wall. Missed G this game too, but too many mistakes at the end of the day. We’ll be back, big things to come for the Dons

A new coach and defensive scheme are a must. Center back and goalkeeper (without big g) are the 2 most vulnerable positions. Thats based on what I see on youtube

This ain’t the SE dons I once knew the heart and desire that was once showed week in week out just ain’t there anymore the boys need to find a way to capture that spirit once again

2 Cup Finals and the play-offs wouldn't be a bad season for most teams, but the Dons aren't most teams. You set the standards in the past and this year you've let them drop. The problems are obvious, fixing them is the hard part. Looking forward to seeing the Dons bouncing back next season

Long live the king. Can't blame the management for mistakes made. Love Donny's transparency. They will be back and win it all next season.

I’m actually sad for Kingy because I think he was a good gaffa, glad to see the back of Rhino though for real. I hope Kingy can stay on as a player, he’s cold. An external manager is what the club needs now. Peak that we’re finishing with no silverware for the first time ever but next year gonna go crazy ❤️

Dons need JR back desperately, no disrespect to king or reino but there’s levels to everything and JRs attention to detail and tactical knowledge/instructions were second to none. From when he left it was always gonna be a struggle & tbh winning a cup would’ve just paved over the cracks. This seasons results show it’s a job too big for the management and a change is definitely needed. Quality wise player for player, Dons are as good as anyone. People say the attitude isn’t right, but when you don’t believe in what you’re doing or how you’re being coached/managed this is what happens. Next season we go again

Think the players need changing too. Unfortunately some just aren't as good as they think they are. Change at the top was needed, new energy needs to be on the pitch. re group and go again. Keep the receipts from this season and use them as motivation going forward! 💪🏻

What’s crazy is this didn’t even feel like an Se Dons cup final it’s like the players have forgotten the identity and character of this club some guys just look dead behind the eyes like football isn’t supposed to be enjoyable to play especially on an occasion like this. What Runna said at the end was spot on as well why wait until a cup final to have that conversation something hasn’t been right for a while now and it needed fixing months ago. Appreciate what the boys who turn up week after week have done this year though and huge shoutout to Kingy that guy has been nothing but professional and respectable since he joined the club I know it hurts him just as much if not more to see what’s happened this season. All love and we go again next season 💚

This season is a tough one to take. Reality check. But Dons are Dons the comeback is greater. Regroup lads heads up next season is a new season lets gooooooo

This might sound mad and the opposite of what a lot of people are saying, but I think a big problem is that the Dons has gotten too serious. The people at the top need the club to do well (on the pitch and off it), which completely changes the atmosphere. I remember OGs saying they loved the Dons because it was a break from all the bullshit of their Saturday teams. Is there really any difference, now? Go back to the Cortez final. It was all rum runna, new jackets and cracking jokes with the fourth official. Then look at Plumstead or London. It's tense. It's jaws set. It's moaning at refs before the game even starts. It's like a cloud of gas in the changing room and one little spark blows it all to pieces. For the Dons to get back to better days, they need to lighten up a bit.
