My daughter and husband lived in Miami for 15 yrs. 5 yrs ago they evacuated to our home in NY with the clothes on their backs, 2 cats, and 2 German Shepherd s. They were here for 1 week. Dogs drove me crazy, but price to pay for them to be safe and dry. They now live in Corning, NY with the dogs.

I don't know if you live near the coast but regardless, this time you are using towards your selling and shows should honestly be used towards prepping and evacuating. The hurricane will pass inland as a hurricane, so Prepare for loss of electricity for days, excessive rain, high winds, and storm surge. Please do not underestimate this storm. I don’t know if this suggestion helps but I saw one person buy a large clear plastic tarp and when they parked their car, they lay out the tarp in the parking spot. Then parked on top of the tarp and wrapped their car at the top. That way the car was (probably) water proof. Kind of how they wrap Hershey’s Kisses.

Hey, Paul. I love you & your channel. I'm not really old enough to be your Mother, but I feel very protective of you after your last few videos. So please take my advice with the understanding that I care about you. Please drain your pool a couple of feet down, get as much stuff elevated & in big trash bags as possible, get all your important documents & pictures in waterproof bags. And I wish you would take your new vehicle & drive away from there instead of flying. That way you are not stuck if anything happens to the airport, or if flights get cancelled. Praying for you!

Before you leave........Lower the level of your pool so it doesn't overflow and flood your house! Orlando Airport is going to close, I think on Wednesday morning. Good luck to you. PS Also.....turn off the Main Breaker to your house. That will prevent a power surge from frying everything electrical in the house (including the AC)! Also....you might want to put your eBay Store on Time Away because, if your inventory is damaged because of the Hurricane, you might get dinged by eBay for each item.

paul, get out now in your own vehicle. i left many times on the texas gulf coast prior to the arrival of the hurricanes, but leave NOW, in your vehicle (you may get stranded at the airport and this vehicle will stay safe). keep sky safe, love you, your channel and the pups

I’m a life long Floridian and live in north port Florida (we’ve met a couple of times). I saw a direct hit from Charley in 2004 and Ian a couple of years ago and as long as you’re not in a flood zone or a non block home, you’ll be just fine. Assuming your flight got canceled.

Id still backwash (drain) some. I live in AZ & in the Summer during heavy monsoon rain when pool was full, it would near overflow. At least if you drain, water would be caught & not flood the area. But up to you.
