So this is a problem I keep seeing when late game players try to give advice to newer players like this, they forget that there are teams/characters that people need to invest something in in order to do the challenges and more importantly the doom campaign. Taking this advice would leave a newer player screwed for those things never mind getting thru Dark Dimensions easier by building a character like sinister.

This is my issue, right now. I can't get all the characters/legendaries or gear that I need without finishing Doom. I'd be much more interested in a video such as this that took the Doom campaign into consideration.

@@enderaman generally speaking the characters needed need to be around lvl 65 gear tier 11 or 12. Xfactor to start can be only lvl 60. Need avengers I remember. I did mercs with shuri and scientist supreme for start of doom 2, can use syms after that. The hydra black order power armor nodes I used red skull, zemo, grenadier, maw and falcon

I would say Sinister Is no longer needed and a potential waste of war currency. Secret avengers plus ghost does fine.

At the end of the day, available resources are what makes a lot of decisions. In almost 2 years of heavy daily playing, I've managed to get only 7 characters to gear tier 15. Mini uniques and weapon uniques for tiers 13,14, and 15 are still not easy to obtain. Thankfully they are releasing larger store quantities but soooo expensive. You need 61 uniques to get to GT15 plus dozens of mini uniques depending on the individual character. Some of the uniques I've only managed to collect 30 or 40 of in 2 years. Man its a grind.

If they are your favorite characters I wouldn’t call it a waste. It’s a game after all and you need to do what makes you happy even if it’s not the most efficient.

It's a never ending game of catch up. When I come into lumps of cash I catch up on the things that got left behind. I usually don't get legendary toons until 2nd or 3rd launch anyway. Slowly creeping through global in dd4 but only have Kestrel ready for cosmic so far. I need that energy that $$ uses. Plus my $$ is still only 3 stars.

I've maxed my hulk almost as I much as I can. Level 83. Tier 15. 2-T4s, ISO tier 5. He's level 7 finally but only 4 red stars. Hulk is my favorite. I only wish he could get counterattack with any avenger, not just tier 1.

I rather Maw instead of AW for Mystic lanes to help squishy cloak/dagger to survive with an early Def up! Way easier with him to sustain that team

You're not wrong, but Defense Up has less value when most of the enemy squad has Blind/Offense Down from Cloak and/or Dagger's Ult. Plus Maw himself is squishy and has long cooldowns.

War is the only game mode that I have fun in. I love weapon x so I will build that team even though I know that they will be a waste of resources. Maybe they will add more campaigns. It is mostly about raids right now. I do plan on quiting while wolverine and weapon x are war meta.

We needed 1 kill so I bought an energy did the fight got 1 kill and I had to die on purpose real quick so the fight would be over and after the load screen there was 10 seconds left. It was crazy, chat went nuts.

The problem with all that is that newer players like me can't get anywhere near that characters. The gigantic heap of utterly useless garbage characters you need to unlock them are also incredibly hard to get partly. I'm sure there were some great events in the past and 100 blitzes over the years and what not, but try building that unlock teams as new player....this is pure torture. I started out some months ago with 3 friends and I'm the only one left. The others gave up with the same opionion "I have never played a game that hates new players so much".

Haven’t watched it yet. Judging by comments he says arena team (IW) and raid teams (axmen, new warriors, some skill collection and some tech collection) right? Always find this funny. How do you get Adam Warlock if you don’t build Pym Tech and X Factor? How do build X factor if you don’t build the teams to farm MuM or YJ for Pym? I guess if you’re just looking at this from an established player view, fine. But doesn’t work for new players. Also, if you pour all your resources into IW for the next 3 weeks and Omega comes out and some new combo wrecks them in Arena-is that a good use of resources?

Just get the stars on the characters you need for the unlock and put the minimal resources into them. Save the majority of your resources for the characters you use often.

I think content creators tend to use the term “build” to refer to g14+. That confused me for a long time as I was only a few months in and it felt like getting someone to g12 took a long time. But all the resources required to take them all the way to g15/16 are a while other level.

@@JefferVescent357 after level 65 they are basically 1 million dollars per gear tier afterwards. That's only the leveling cost. Not the materials. I think it's roughly 10 million per toon for gear tier 15.

I will say this. I am a end user. War currency is important to build toons you can pick and gear. Don't have good offense or defense, your going to get crap war currency. War currency that is needed for DD4 DD5 and all raids. Arena only gets you cores. Raid and war get you gear. So war is important, at beginning to end. Stop overlooking the importance of war currency.

The thing is, cores are used to build every part of your teams. I got a free 5 star deathpool bc of arena. I was able to unlock Adam warlock for free bc of arena. Cores is the most important. I get 1% in blitz all the time bc of cores. to get Mariah hill, iceman kitty all are high power levels bc I place top 20 top 10 in arena most days. We get 30% in doom 2 daily bc of cores… shall I go on? I wd not have my mystic team my axmen built without the cores from arena. I have a 6y6r kestrel mostly bc I used my cores ……. Then there is iso refresh. Energy refresh. Can’t do all those daily and farm Polaris on time for Adam unlock without arena my friend. Shall I go on?

With arena credit you farm arena store exclusive toons. With cores you can buy energy refreshes in campaigns for farm gear, toon shards... And also gives gold. Also is used to buy energy refreshes in event campaigns for new toons. So, arena is crucial to get resources otherwise you would need to pay for.

That's probably part of my problem. I don't really like arena so I just do my 2 dailies and live in the 2 and 3 hundred ranking... Especially now that it's just IW Kestrel mirror matches.

You have already missed IW if you don't have them so be ready for the next team that will come. in the meantime get as much IW as you can and use your kestrel to climb as high as you can even if its top 100.

Love the content, but I wouldn't say arena is the most important game mode in the game, definitely not above raid. Ever since I went (mostly) f2p, I stopped doing the all the 50s for energy everyday, mainly because I don't really need to and because I want to have enough cores saved for events for new characters, but the gear and now blue iso you get from raids, makes it, in my opinion, far more important than arena.
