I shared your video. There are thousands of grown men today still wanting to ask that question to dads that left them when small.

I was disappointed that his father choose to blame a failed relationship with his mom as a reason for walking out his life. He sounded like the typical man that once the relationship is over, the kid’s relationship is over also. He makes no efforts to try to build an adult son relationship with him or any attempts to be actively involved in his grandson life. Based on what Dontay said he had not seen his dad in almost 8 months & just happened to bump into him at the store. Crazy

I’m so glad you’re transparent and that this conversation was made public. It’s too many people not walking in their truth out of fear or worried about what other people think. This conversation is a reality for so many men and women. This reality is hidden due to so many peoples egos!!! I totally and completely relate because my dad was never there for me and people always lie and hide but truth prevails! Blessings and abundance to you. ✨✨✨

This video should be shown to baby daddies, so they do not end up just like their dads who walked away from their child’s life, not helping support the child, because they don’t get along with their baby momma, and not even doing their best to see their child/children, quit a job so they don’t have to pay child support and not even doing their best to prosper in life so that he can get a career and have a better life for himself and for his child/children. specially for the dads that don’t even have to take care of their child 24/7th, the best thing they can do is get they life together while the baby momma the one losing in life, especially she gotta quit work because no transportation to get the kids in daycare, no help from family, and no help from baby daddy’s family and welfare ain’t enough to even get by and can’t even get a remote job because no diploma. Your doing a great job, just keep trying, and keep striving. your bm is lucky to have a baby daddy like you just like any baby momma with great baby fathers who didn’t end up dead beat like their dads. Growing up With a single mom as a man seems to really have effect for a man and specially for women. I didn’t grown up with a father and sure ain’t going to be raising my children like how my mother raised me around a step father who wasn’t even qualified to be one.

It's good for you to work these things out. He understands why you don't want to settle for a miserable job. You're a chip off the old block. Even though he wasn't in your life you are still the way he was. That's kind of amazing. He's proud of you. You didn't give up. You will make it. This was a good video.

My dad left me and my two brothers as well. He kinda tried when we were younger but he stopped trying to visit us and we haven't really hung out in more then 10 years. He calls us when his drunk ( his an alcoholic) and tells me he misses me and my brothers. But he never makes an effort to come see us he lives an hour away. It's so sad because we love them but they don't love us.

You won’t and up just like your dad (respectfully) in Jesus name amen 🙏 You need to break the generational curse/ pattern/ cycle ie broken relationships, lack of ability to keep a job, failures, etc… you must break it. And by the looks of things you’re well on your way and doing a great job. Keep it up 👍. Liked and subscribed ✅ Love from London UK 🇬🇧

I can relate to this. In my opinion, He does not care about you. His actions show it… He acts just like my bio mom did. Maybe I’m projecting? She was an addict, full of lies and excuses. Addiction is a family disease. In your case what it sounds like is your dad started using, left ,and the whole family suffered?? What does your mom tell you about him?
@kaylove736211 ай бұрын
I also received a message on Facebook shortly after my 18th birthday.. from my bio dad for him to introduce himself with some bullshit ass excuse as to why he wasn’t in my life.
@lashurediscussion497011 ай бұрын
I personally didn’t like his lame excuse. You have to fight to not make some of the same mistakes your dad made with your son. You will be the one thing that break generational curses. On another note I cried as I never had the opportunity to ask all the why’s that were in my head & after listening to your dad not taking accountability for his lack of care made me realize that my dad would have placed the blame on my mom. You are a grown man with a son of your own & he could not give you great advice because he had no answer, he has been living life without a purpose assuming he had no father in his life to give direction. His character as a father shows & broke my heart that now you are grown he still does not make an effort to be in your life. He ain’t even try to make an effort.

Bro you should let go of the past and live in the now. I know it is easy to say but try it because your past is something you never get back, but the now will give you something to look forward to that is different from you past. get out of your head because you have a lot of potential. You can't see it right now because of the situation between you and your baby momma.

I don’t feel bad. If you don’t have your things together as a grown adult then what’s the purpose of having children? Just putting your child in a disadvantage all because of your lustful desires. What goes around comes around. I’ve worked in many nursing homes and their children don’t want anything to do with them. I can totally understand.

Ok. If you live in an environment that has lack of job opportunities and education with no work experience, why go out and have sex and create multiple children that will grow up lacking something?
