What's even more messed up about Spider-Mans passing is that his "Spider Sense" must be going crazy during that moment. *DEAD* *YOU'RE* *DEAD* It's why he's freaking out so much before even having a part of him disappear. He knows death is coming and pleads to Tony for help. He's still just a kid in Highschool. That scene hit me hard.

People shit on Quill a lot, ( It is still his fault ) but you gotta remember he did the exact same thing in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and we cheered. When Ego said he was the one who gave his mother a tumor Quill had no hesitation of attacking a *god-like* entity. The exact same thing with Thanos. It's simply a part of his character and it was planned brilliantly.

@jspettifer The reason Thanos wakes up is because when Peter hits Thanos, the pain and shock transfered to Mantis which caused her to let go, which in turn gave Thanos the opportunity to wake up. Mantis was the key to keeping him docile in that moment.

Me personally, I would've used the blasters on Thanos' eyes and gone to town I mean, dude's a titan and Quill is only human-- if he really wanted to do some damage while Thanos was in such a vulnerable position, that probably would've been the most realistic thing to do I don't know exactly how durable Thanos is, being that he's (as far as I understand) a Deviant and/or an Eternal(? or whatever the Eternals are), or if he has a healing factor, but I feel like some point blank energy blaster spam might do some permanent damage while also taking a huge blow to his combat abilities

Thanos is arguably 1 of the most successful movie villains of all time since he spent years preparing to achieve his goal & then he actually does it in a matter of days. That said, he probably should have just wiped out 1/8 to 1/6 of all intelligent life in the universe since randomly wiping out 1/2 of all life included animals that people eat.

In my opinion the only one more successful who is also mainstream would be Emperor Palpatine. The man lied and cheated his way to become chancellor of the galaxy with nobody suspecting a thing. Orchestrated a war where he was the puppetmaster of both sides, forced his ancient enemy into accepting an army designed to kill them, utterly eradicated that same enemy, and became the sole ruler of the galaxy with borderline no opposition. The only thing that did him in was when he got a little too cocky after about 25 years of being emperor. "So this is how liberty dies, with thunderous applause."

The writing is actually really clever, with Dr. Strange being the linchpin holding the plot together. By having him know the future, it explains how they were ultimately able to defeat seemingly impossible odds. But Strange knew he couldn’t _tell_ people what to do, since it involved half the universe dying for 5 years, and nobody would’ve accepted that.

It's very easy to blame Star-Lord as being a big reason they lost the battle. But you have to remember, Strange saw all of those possible futures, and only ONE had a victory for the Avengers. You think he wouldn't do everything possible to ensure that that future was the one that came to pass? So then, why did he not focus some of his power into stopping Quill when he was confronting Thanos? And as you said, why would he sacrifice the Time Stone for Tony's life when, just a short while earlier (before viewing the possible futures), he'd said that he would sacrifice Tony and Peter if it meant keeping the Time Stone safe? Because it was part of Strange's plan. That was why he said to Tony, "There was no other way." They lost this battle, but now they have to find another way to win the war.

Vision really is one of the most powerful Avengers. His "skin" is made with vibranium so he's impervious to a lot of things. @9:11 even when the world is in trouble, Tony still lands the best jokes. The four lackeys that were with Thanos are the Black Order: Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, and Cull Obsidian. Remember when Nebula said to Gamora that she was the sibling she hated the least? The Black Order are also Gamora and Nebula’s siblings by adoption. @24:29, @34:47, and @43:40 lol hahahahahahaha!!!!!! Those who theorized about Red Skull returning were right. The army of aliens that attacked Wakanda are called Outriders. As Groot vanished, “I am Groot” in that moment was him saying “dad…”. If you look closely, Wanda welcomed death. At that point, she felt she lost everything. Spider-Man’s vanishing was the most painful to watch. Back in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tony did say that he’d feel responsible if Peter died and didn’t want that piled on his conscience. The Russo Brothers knew what they were doing. Spider-Man has been a fan favorite for years, and the MCU’s incarnation is a high school teen with a lot of potential. That’s why they made his death slow on purpose. Just before he vanished, he apologized to his mentor feeling he didn’t do enough to stop Thanos but he gave it his all.

A very important detail about Hulk/Thanos bout; after the first few hits Thanos knew he couldn’t let the fight linger so then with the combos he did, he was hitting strategic nerve points to incapacitate Hulk quickly and not waste time on a full out fight… The producers didn’t outright say that, but it’s fairly obvious if you pay attention to how he hits Hulk and the idea that Thanos has a lot of experience with every planet he’s invaded🤷🏾‍♂️

If Thanos had allowed Hulk to get angry, hulk would have become unstoppable, and I believe that Thanos somehow knew this. Remember, the angrier Hulk gets, the stronger he gets, and there’s no limit to how angry he can get. Honestly impressive that Thanos had that knowledge.

@@generalgrievousproductions This is not it. He himself is already strong like Hulk. He's a Titan. On top of that, he has the power stone. The power stone increases his strength exponentially. That is why Capt Marvel is only affected by Thanos once he uses the power stone and then hits her. The stone literally lights up.

I like how everyone watching this movie always forgets Doctor Strange said theres only 1 way to win outta 14 million so if Starlord didn’t punch Thanos they would’ve been in the timeline where they lose against Thanos which is also why Doctor Strange didn’t say anything to stop Starlord and also why he gave the time stone to Thanos cause if he didn’t it would be another timeline where they lose against him

So wrt Thanos's idealogy: it's easy to miss, but in the first GOTG movie, when they were all captured on Xandar, there were like character profiles. If you paid attention there, you would notice that Gomora is actually the last of her kind remaining. We know Thanos culled her planet "manually" (without the stones) and that was the effect. So him saying people are better off may be a misconception on his part, since I don't think he actually goes back to the planets he culled to check if he actually made a positive difference.

This movie man.. It's a glorious kick in the teeth. I remember seeing this in theater on release.. No one knew what we were in for, and it's the only time i stoicly sat through end credits and then filed out with over a hundred people in dead silence, stunned, as if we'de all just watched our pets get murdered. Like, even Samuel L Jackson didn't get to say what we all thought around post-credit time: "MotherF.."

“I don’t even know what to say…” We didn’t know, either, man. People were shell shocked in the theaters during the end credits. When the pager lit up during the last end credit scene, there was a collective gasp of excitement, then everyone walked out in silence. It was such a surreal theatre experience. I think Saving Private Ryan had a similar experience, but really, this was just very shocking. I e didn’t expect it would be a two-part story where we waited a year knowing that Thanos WON, how were the remaining Avengers going to get out of it?!!!???

Saying vision isn’t as powerful because he’s able to be stabbed with a special metal that prevents phasing is like saying Superman is weak cause Batman fought him with kryptonite. They’re both extremely op in there own respective but they have to have a weakness of some kind otherwise it’s boring and a cope out card they can always use to win and the shows/movies become predictable
