One of the worst shoots all around. Not only were they just panick firing for no reason, both had awful grip, awful reloads, and awful malfunction clearing. One tried to put her mag in backward, and then fumbled clearing the jam she had because she limp wristed the f ck out of it. Thankfully the woman lived, sadly the other women are probably still cops.

True story from an Aussie ex cop. I was working in a plainclothes anti drug/anti theft unit and we took a probationer (rookie) out for a ride along when we were doing a surveillance job. I was driving, he was supposed to be giving me directions (back when we only had paper street directories, no google maps back then) to catch back up to the surveillance team after we had to peel off after being on eyeball. So of course I’m driving like a maniac and trying to also read the directory cause he was crapping himself. Was probably a 3 or 4 hour job. Dropped him off back at his station (we worked out of covert premises) at the end of the day. Came back to get him the following day and the Patrol Commander asked what I did to the new guy and pointed at a box in the police station. It was the probationers gear. He got back the day before, boxed up all his uniform etc and quit on the spot. Lol.

@@themanhimself3 As a local law enforcement officer. I work for a small department less than 20 total staff. Our allocated training budget from the town is 1k and that is for ammunition. For us to even go to local trainings it comes out of other budgets like uniforms and salary for unfilled positions. Not to mention because we have unfilled positions we often do not have the staffing to send people to training. My current pay is just enough to get by, for me to make a decent living i work a second job. So now i'm taking care of a family working two jobs and you want me to pay for and go to trainings on my time and own dime. You do it then we can talk. I love my job but the implication that we can just pay for private training is ridiculous.

I totally agree with the guys, as someone that usually ends up having to train coworkers how to operate heavy machinery and other dangerous industrial jobs, when I'm training, I Haze relentlessly... And people can get mad at me all they want, I'm doing it for a reason, because the last thing I need is for someone to not know what they're doing, when the situation gets actually dangerous. As someone that has had to rescue my personal mentors from s***, on more times than I can remember.... There's a reason why you always have to keep safety in mind and do things by procedure

I’ve always thought it was crazy that in order to be a lawyer and know the law you need multiple years of education. And to be a cop to enforce the same laws, with an arsenal of weapons, only a year or less of training is required. So many more careers that don’t involve life or death require more training and education.

After explaining I was a truck driver on average lifting one end of a 900lb roll above my waist consistently on a daily basis and also adding that while I’m getting denied for being under weight yet able to life more than 150% of my total body weight waist high there are fat overweight dudes getting in that can hardly lift a pencil without getting extremely winded.

I remember once while I was still in field training there was this drunk dude that rushed up to me and the other guys responding to this mostly verbal domestic disturbance. One of the more experienced officers got his taser out and immediately had him proned out with verbal commands. I stood there and was ready for anything but didn’t know that I was the one that everybody expected to put the guy in handcuffs. My FTO whispered in my ear to put him in cuffs after a brief pause and I did right away with no trouble. After we had the guy in the car my FTO told me everybody was expecting me to cuff the guy and I was like “ah shit my bad, I didn’t realize that was my job” and then for the rest of the night I had each person on shift tell me on separate occasions that next time something like that happened, it was my job to find a job unless told otherwise. From that night on, my behavior has been corrected and I immediately find a role and carry it out under stressful circumstances and have found that I’ve earned the respect of my peers and superiors. A little gentle nudging from the guys goes a long way.

Human being absolutely generally suck under high stress situations. It becomes harder to think and your body undergoes physical reactions that are hard to fight through. It takes a lot of training to make skills reflective and to fight through your body’s natural reactions, even then some people can’t overcome their own body. A lot of police departments don’t have the money to train for high stress situations and this is exasperated by a general cultural refusal to consider the effects of physiology on high stress situations.

The point was put the people who they want in charge, and having the people in charge hire the people they want to be police.

No I think it was because law enforcement is too overbloated as a whole. Especially given the fact that cops are more likely to escalate something rather than de escalate something. Then when something real happens those same cops do nothing at all i.e Uvalde, Broward County Sheriffs Office just to name a couple of agencies. Then when a cop is in the wrong, very rarely does another officer step in and actually intervene and when the good cop does intervene they generally do step in, they are shunned by the agency. Then there is the fact that these agencies cut corners when it comes to training, and hiring requirements. So you have power hungry, egotistical, borderline corrupt agencies + agencies that cut corners when it comes to hiring and training, and people have had enough and say, if they are not going to use the funds properly, then they shoul be defunded.

If the cop that unloaded on his own car in the attempted acorn sniper incident was at uvalde he probably would’ve gone to the wrong school and unloaded in there. That guy has, imo, no business being near a gun or authority.

A Marine trying to bag on the Navy about educational requirements? That, alone, says something about the Marines' need for intellectual capacity. 😂

Maybe the USA should adopt the system for police training from some European countries? First future officers need to get military training. Once that has been passed, they study a bachelor's degree in policing. They also need to pass fitness tests every year while in the force.

1:52 This is a terrible mindset. You should absolutely be training your one handed shooting almost as much as two handed. Outdated does not mean it is not a useful skill to develop.

Yeah, there was a case where a guy had come to his door with a gun when the cops knocked because he lived in a mlbad neighborhood (and they had been having issues with crooks trying to trick them & others to open their doors). The guy died & the girl was arrested FOR NO REASON except she was screaming & freaking out -- a natural reaction after seeing their partner shot to death! It's ridiculous hoe bad these cops are itching to kill someone.

On overnights, we would frequently find training opportunities when nothing was happening. We’d go do a lot of building clearings or k9 searches during the wee hours. Glad to hear others were doing that

Donut literally covers police interaction that he claims the cop is in the right ,but later all charges are dropped and the police department has to settle a lawsuit amd cost thousands to the tax payers.

@@BobRissbert no I'm talking about the countless videos where he disregards the fourth amendment and stands on Pennsylvania vs Mims, like the woman in California at Venice beach that he covered on his live a little while ago she won a 300,000$ settlement for rights violations thats the stuff i am referencing. You sound like a leftist libtard trying to use a strawman argument.

On one hand I see over and over why we cannot lower our standards to include everyone in all jobs, but on the other I also see why we can't outright bar people based on generalities. I'd prefer if hazing to the point of someone quiting didn't happen; I'm much more a proponant of very light humor mixed with teaching or even retraining where necessary. Unfortunately, you just can't have certain kinds of people as police officers; if they're likely to thrown down with someone just because they get called ugly, they probably shouldn't be a cop. It's not just training that needs funding either, it's the people who train the trainees as well. Bad teachers lead to bad students, so they need to be paid reasonably well alongside extensive vetting and maybe even training procedures of their own like what officers in the military get. But we all know how many departments either can't have their own training programs for logistical reasons other than money, never mind the sheer amount of them that force their officers to pay for their equipment out of pocket. The reason we get bad policing is exactly what Donut always says; bad training. Even the police countrywide are more than willing to look into and remedy issues of racially-motivated uses of force when you present them with honest data...so give them *more* money, not *less*
