That happened to a good friend of mine way back in 9th grade. A popular girl slept with my buddy, then days later, said she was assaulted by him. He went to juvie for a year and then moved to a neighboring school district. He always maintained his innocence. Well, in 12th grade, we were having a bonfire party I the woods, and the girl in questions friend drunkenly admitted that she only said that because her and her friends made fun of her for sleeping with him. There's more to it than that, but in a nutshell... her friends convinced her to say she was assaulted to "take the brunt of the shame away". That was in the late 90s... I haven't seen or heard of either of them since, but I still remember that dumb drunk chick recanting the setup of the ruination of a young guy as though she was telling a funny story. I was sitting across from her...I can still see her stupid drunk smile as she nonchalantly told all of us how her and her friends destroyed a dudes life. Absolutely insane. I wish I could say some justice came to that false accuser... but I honestly don't know if any did or didn't. Sorry you had to go through that. I hope that all faded away for you and you can live in peace
