Outside of the 'main' favorite novels of the fans, this one is undoubtedly my favorite. It has meeting up with Sara, meeting up with Sol, the trip in the first few chapters, Nanahoshi, this Eris chapter(one of my favorite in the whole series), Kishirikia? Nothing huge, huge happens just a bunch of dialogue between characters we've gotten to know. I love it so damn much

The whole Ghislaine being thankful to Rudeus for teaching her hits EXTRA hard considering that she probably cremated them (whole undead thing) with the same fire magic that Rudeus taught her... Granted, she could've used physical fire, wood and whatnot, but my head canon is that she used Fireball.

I'd love to read or watch a series called "The Life of Eris" told strictly from her perspective. The way we see her in the anime, especially - she comes off as very one-dimensional. But I'd love to see her thoughts, share her pain and joy. She has truly grown into a fine woman, and she did everything the hard way.

I didn’t watch this video yet, but it’s nice seeing people enjoy my favorite LN that I’m currently reading as well. By the time of this post, I’m currently on LN Volume 22, Chapter 6. I’m reading 2 chapters per day, and I plan on finishing the final volume by the time this year is finished. Mushoku Tensei is a masterpiece

Love how the Demon King is this short stacked girly character, makes the serious scene extremely cute especially when she gives Rudeus a Second Eye to go along with the first Eye that she gave him back years ago when he was a Shota Boi. There is so much feel for these chapters including the parts where Eris finds out what happened with Rudeus because of her own lazy wording on her letter when she was a teenager and of course the fate of her parents. I have a theory of who the Man God may be, but I will keep quiet about this one.

@@d-lo4864as a novel gets complicated the analysis and speculation from our reader is expected. This isn’t an audio book, these videos are not a synopsis. It is a little bit of an overreaction to try force him to cut down with his theories in an analysis video.

@ I’ve watched every Mushoku Monday put out over the last few years, I’m well aware this isn’t an audio book. I listen to his videos in part because of the speculation/ theories. However the original videos were 20 mins long. I understand that the deeper the story gets the more there is to talk about, however many of his recent video are 2 hours or longer. And at the end of the day I’m not trying to influence his work. It’s his decision I was simply stating my opinion/ possibility an observation.

@ I was more stating that to the original threads line of thought. There was just so much less to talk about in the early chapters. I have listened on the mostly weekly basis. I personally need him to talk about the even more basic detail about old chapters. The long videos may not be for everyone but if the issue is the tangents, then a synopsis would be better for most. I totally forgot tons of details that we got with all of the side characters from names to locations to a singular moment where geese did something creepy. Maybe 2 hours is too much, but when content shifts to a point you don’t like that’s okay, stop watching. I used to love old mine craft KZbinrs until the same 3 voicelines coming out of their later content was all I heard. I didn’t start saying there was something wrong with more simple content coming from those people. I realised it wasnt doing enough for me. I needed context and explanations. Maybe these videos aren’t 20 mins of talking about a few character moments and magic foundations, but I don’t even think it realistic to expect someone cover a single chapter in 20 minutes, even if you only took the time to mention the chapters where the context for new scenarios comes from, and then the new scenarios timeline of events with dialogue.

And that’s fair, about minor details needing to be mentioned so people can remember them. I’m not at the point where I’m not enjoying the videos, more than I am enjoying them. So I’ll keep watching for now.

Demon eyes don't work against Badigadi, right? Now that Rudy has two of them and no human eyes, will he even be able to see him? Maybe they work like normal human eyes if he doesn't put mana into them? I'm really curious about how that works.

59:00 Also remember that if Eris didn't break Rudy, then Sara would have been eaten by the Treeant. If Rudy was living with Eris and having adventures with her while trying to find the rest of his family and training to get stronger and survive the Teleport Labyrinth, off in the snowy continent Sara would have died being eaten by the Treeant. So in a way, Rudy mistaking the letter from Eris lead to Rudy saving Sara. Sara should be thanking Eris for that misunderstanding.

Spell ranks are based on the scale and mana required to cast a spell. So the title is granted to anyone who can cast magic of that tier. However, being able to cast higher tier magic doesn’t necessarily make you the more skilled fighter. However, you can independently measure a spells range, power, and mana cost in order to categorize it. With Swordsmanship, skill and strength is harder to measure without an opponent. How do you determine one’s the combat ability of someone without having someone stronger to measure it. It only makes sense that the strongest fighter of that style would be the highest rank, and would be the only one capable of granting any title below their own. How do you decide if someone else is worthy of the title of God in that style? Well… you beat the guy who everyone currently believes to be the strongest. It’s also important to note that sword styles were created by their founders. While Magic was discovered in many regions independently. Swords have only thing that they truly excel at… violence.

A smart clan would have churned out labrynths, but instead of giving people a break (feeding them for a year) they really should have gotten into real estate. Buy the high value land, get a mansion every month or so, rent or sublet them out. Once you do this for about 5 years, your while clan has homes bought and paid for, so long as they don't mind sharing a mansion with a buddy Just remembered the downside of this plan.. it takes a year to travel almost anywhere :/
