Btw, did you know that in the mage quest you can see which cards count towards the quest? When you hover the mouse over the quest, the cards that count towards the quest stay colored, while the other ones turn grey.

Dill Dildo's quest rogue's not even that expensive and cheaper versions are pretty much as good. If you want to play cheap brainless decks (zoo), play zoo or pirate warrior. honestly this patch is pretty good as hs patches go, definitely not perfect but they never have been.

Since most of them don't use their brain and copy decks, they called the quest bad, because they couldn't see its potential, but after some people who actually tried to play the supposedly terrible quest proved how strong it can be, they want to copy it and add it to their arsenal of decks, along with Pirate Warrior and Cancer Shaman.

I'll admit I was super wrong about it, on paper it looked liked one of the weakest quests but on launch day I kept getting wrecked by the deck. Since I opened one I decided to try my own list and realized how crazy it was. Obviously like two days later I realized this was the new netdeck on the block so I kinda feel bad for still playing it... but on the other hand I technically didn't copy anyone to make it and it's definitely one of my better laddering decks (duh) so I also don't want to stop just because it's popular. If it makes you feel better I drew dead for nearly a solid hour and a half the other night, never finding bouncers is a fantastic way to lose stars. So the deck is silly powerful but does lose to more "honest" decks like beast hunter and murloc paladin a solid percentage of the time.

I said "most" for a reason. There are obviously still the maybe like 10% who still make use of their brain. There's no shame in being wrong, everybody makes mistakes. Though I have to say, on paper the quest looks ridiculously overpowered to me. It's way too easy to complete, between tokens like Flame Elemental, and bounces like Gadgetzan Ferryman, Youthful Brewmaster and especially Shadowstep, there are just so many ways Rogue can complete it. It's literally not even a challenge, assuming they don't draw poorly. Literally any class could complete that quest using Flame Elementals/Brewmasters and it would actually still be really good in token classes like Paladin for example. Once they complete the quest, they can just spam their basically free 5/5 tokens and it's an absolute pain to deal with over a longer period of time. Basically the Jaraxxus effect. Before they complete the quest, they could just play like a regular midrange deck and wait until they draw enough tokens/bounces. The fact that Rogues have not only Ferryman, but also Shadowstep and Preparation, allows them to literally play the quest in an aggro deck without any real downside at all. If they draw the right cards, they can easily get and play the quest on turn 3. Against Rogue or Druid, in a dream scenario, if they draw Swashburglar and Shadowsteps, and get the right cards off of Swashburglar, they can theoretically get and play the quest on turn one, which is absolutely insane. Shadowstep is the sole reason why the quest is broken. It allows it to be way too fast too consistently, which makes the deck less fun to play against. Yet it relies a lot on RNG, so you can still get destroyed really hard by your bad luck, which makes the deck less fun to play. Decks that are unfun to play and unfun to play against, but get you the best win rates, are the absolute worst possible ones to dominate a meta. Since many people will always end up playing those decks to get wins (regardless of skill level), they will take the fun out of the game for most people. My fix to the quest would be to simply raise the quest requirement to 6, at least 5. That way Rogue could still complete it, and it would probably still be strong, but not just blatantly overpowered, except in said dream scenarios. But almost every good meta deck is literally unbeatable when it draws the nuts, so that's quite alright.

I think raising it to 5 would be good, 6 excessive. My fastest completion would have been turn three (they conceded on turn two when it was obvious what had happened), which is batshit insane levels of power. However, nearly half of my games have either had the quest completed after turn 7 or just end with me dying before then, don't discount just how dependent you are upon the draw. If you don't find enough bouncers there's actually nothing you can do to beat basically any deck that can play a minion or two in the first few turns, a bad arena deck could stomp all over a bad cavern hand. The power level certainly seems off (although we're going to need to wait a month or so to see exactly how far, people never figure out the meta as quickly as they think they do) but I'd recommend trying the deck to see just how fragile it can be as well. It is silly that they didn't catch this in testing though... yet again. Seems like a super simple and obvious fix.

Cyan Light I have had the same experience as you, if you Draw well you can complete it by turn 4-5 but you are basically playing a roulette 1) dont face an Aggro deck 2) Draw NUTZ And you realize set for an easy win, but if any of the 2 said requirements fácil, you're basically dead, I'am hella unlucky and actually got a negative score with quest rogue (I lost like 4 ranks) beast Hunter, pirate Warrior and jade decks (basically Old meta + beast Hunter) I would hold on nerf claims a little longer, quest rogue is a deck that feels bad to lose against, because when it works (said requirements are met) you dont feel like you could interact/do something about it, but that's because people play slow decks, which quest rogue punishes, rogue as it Its doesnt have good taunts not heals to keep him Alive against face damage, thats how it's been like... Since ever

I'm still learning the new mechanics honestly but from what I understand the spell makes anything that touches the rogue's side of the board have base stats of 5/5, enchantments that alter the stats after that point still work as normal which is why things like Edwin still function. The reason then that polymorph effects don't work is because they aren't enchantments, they're creating an entirely new minion which then has its normal stats replaced with the 5/5. It's also worth noting that this is not itself an enchantment so things like silence don't work, and that leaving that side of board doesn't revert it so if you use a mind control effect or something you'll get a 5/5 still (or for a negative scenario, mind control a thing as a rogue for one attack then give them back an upgraded minion). It's a really unintuitive card just from reading it and they could have done a better job explaining what is actually happening but I believe that's what it is. So you can then figure out what anything does from there by just asking if it's creating a vanilla stat-line (which is replaced) or enchanting an existing one (which still works) without needing to first see the interaction for yourself. Unless you find something that doesn't add up, in which case please come back here and tell me so I can go back to the drawing board.

I've needed a couple of seconds to decipher what's a "pedon spell" :P For the warrior quest you need to _play_ 7 taunt minions ( = from your hand). Protect the king _summons_ 1/1 taunts, so it doesn't work. Unlike shaman quest, which is summon 7 murloc, that's why for example Call in the finishers counts.
