Loved watching this. I am a hippie at heart! I saw the movie, Hair when I was 12. I was around hippies as a young child too. But these Doobie Brothers are timeless, always in style.

Never will I forget the day I met Tom Johnston, playing a small gig in the hills above Morgan Hill, playing tunes from his solo albums.

Prob my all time favorite Doobie Brothers song! The very talented John McFee rockin the solo on his black Les Paul 👍 Tom wasn't actually gone from the band but more so gone because of health issues so their time without him was only temporary and eventually he came back! Love the Doobie Brothers

That album woke me up to the fact that there was SO much more to music than Top 40. Changed my life. Every song on the album is awesome.

One of my all-time favorites for sure - but it just ain’t the real thing without Tommy up there on stage.

This is one of my favorite songs by them. I think I might have watched this concert on HBO in 1979. I was in second grade, and they were my favorite band.

I was in the 10th grade and had taped this off of the radio as this concert was broadcast on Westwood One? live simulcast from WDIZ Radio in Orlando. I remember how this song blew me away with its crescendos and musicality. Truly a greatest hit! Thanks for posting.

see that fucking hill in the back that's where Stevie Ray Vaughan died when charter helicopter trying to climb that thing slammed right into it the fog getting out of the valley.. and other than one daylight radio promotion what a helicopter flew in for a prize winner.. no other band has ever left out of there in a helicopter and they've all been bussed or in a private vehicle how about that finger-picking Pat Simmons awesome
@doncrimmin3 жыл бұрын
Actually, the ski hill that SRV's helicopter struck on that fateful night is behind the stage and across the valley.
