You definitely need to hit Wheels Through Time and Tail of the Dragon, there are great places to stay at like the Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort, Bryson City has some nice and reasonable places too. First off, I think it’s great how you are pushing the limits of what people believe you are supposed to be able to do. You make a great example for me to point at when my daughters (3 of them) say they can’t, or are convinced it’s not something a smaller woman could do. (One is 5’ 3”, one 5’ even). Thank you for being a positive example for women, as well as a positive example to make men understand the limits on women are purely mental and mostly placed (unfairly) on you all by men. Okay, with all that out of the way. I had a suggestion for you to try out. After riding the big Harleys, perhaps you may want to try a couple of the Japanese baggers? I currently have a 2018 Yamaha Star Venture TC. It weighs a little more than the ones you rode already, at 963 pounds, but the center of balance is so low you would never realize it. The engine runs smooth and has plenty of power. The features are fantastic. I think you may enjoy it. Of course, ride what you like to be on. Keep on exploring and expanding your experience. After riding on the road for over 35 years my advice to anyone who wants to ride is to get on every bike of every type and every brand that you can manage then ride what you enjoy. Only you can tell you what is the best bike or type of bike for you. Ride safe. Hope to see you out on the road if you ever make it through Texas.

Hey, Doods! Love the Tiger even though I'm a Harley guy. Excited for your road trip - we did the Tail on the way to our rental cabin... we were in a pickup towing a trailer with the bikes in it. So, technically, I've done the Tail with my Road Glide. LOL! Cherohala is an awesome ride! I can't believe how beautiful the roads are in NC - just be sure to give up the center line on the sharp corners because you'll definitely meet traffic. We didn't hit Wheels Through Time, but can't wait to see your take on it.

We are in our 50’s and first time riders for the last year. You were the first female rider I saw and immediately started sharing your videos with my wife. You’re doing great….tune out the noise and know that the quite majority love your work and you are benefiting many people even though you don’t always know it!

That's a really good looking scoot. It's awesome that they're finally making small displacement touring bikes. Also, I've never understood the gatekeeper mentality a lot of so called bikers have. Motorcycles are fun. Don't take things so serious. The more people sharing the motorcycle experience, the better it is for all riders.

I've been waiting for years for manufacturers to make rivals to my '08 Vstrom 650. I LOVE it, but I'd love some other options (and Vstroms just keep getting uglier). Everyone is producing crazy, $20,000 hardcore ADV bikes or, now, little 3-400cc beginner ADV bikes. What I want-and what many other people must want-are more middleweight all-rounders. I don't need to cross the Mongolian step. I just want an upright touring bike that can do a lot for under $10K. One of the reasons that I love the Vstrom is the 19" front. It's sporty enough, yet modestly off- road-capable. That's the sweet spot for me. But, this looks like a great machine (despite the fact that it's 100% road-oriented).

Awesome. I think you will like the ADV bike more then the HD tourers. You will probably find that a larger engine for everyday functional use would better fit your needs. The larger engine and a frame with the nominal weight compared to a HD will provide a more comfortable ride. Theres nothing as comfortable as a touring frame bike.
@joedangelo56402 жыл бұрын
Are you honestly saying the Tiger 660 is more comfortable than a HD tourer?

Just found your channel and very excited to see your road trip on the tiger 660, will have to go back and watch some of these bagger trips. As a 220 lb guy who has been riding a 2014 Ninja 300 2 up with my quite tall wife for 7+ years I hear you on people telling you what bike you "should" be on, who's a starter and a squid and whatever. If you can fit, you fit, if you can swing a leg over on tippy toes you can handle it if that's what you wanna do. No one should be telling anyone what's right for them unless in the most supportive and caring sense. Not micro aggressing others asking how long they ride and telling them to be safe out there not know what their experience is. Love a mid review tea and snack stop, great video

Cherohala Skyway is in my top 5 favorite roads. Enjoy. It gets cold near the top so bring a heavy sweatshirt. When we rode it was 85 degrees at Deal’s Gap, and 65 on the top of the Skyway.
